There was a young lass from Australia

Who painted her ass like a Dahlia

The shape it was fine

And the color devine

But the aroma--well, that was a faihlia

Aqua hasn't really done anything to make me think he was be any good for you when he has played though.

I supposed time will tell ( until he starts try to push a move through towards the end of the transfer window ) <ok>

He was very good in the very short time he got towards the end of Rafa's last season. Neither Juve or Milan bought him because they're incredibly tight with cash right now.

If Juve is tight on cash how come they get linked with every big who hasn't signed a new contract yet?

Does that not include the £40 million or so Juve have spent on players so far this season, plus the extra cash that they are supposed to have lined up for a bid for RVP? And Milan only wanted him on the cheap to replace Flamini who was expected to leave but lost interest when he signed a new deal, they also signed a much better player in Montolivo on a free transfer.

Because now they've got CL footie and are Serie A champions? ;)

And they could get Pirlo who is more reliable on a free.

Mate, If I had my photo taken with someone who has saved the world over 20 times, gets every woman he wants is awesome at poker and has a watch that can fire acid darts, Id look a little starstruck too......

Its james Bond FFS!!!

Sorry mate, but Daniel Craig's Bond has never saved the world. He has rolled an Aston Martin, saved an aeroplane company from bankruptcy, bravely rescued lots of money, and blown up an eco hotel. He's basically Jeremy Clarkson with a gun.

Nah, he is actually a decent player, if we can get him fully fit and in the right frame of mind then he will be an excellent addition to the squad.

That's what we said about Owen Hargreaves... <whistle>

Or because they don't think he is worth the wage Liverpool are paying him ?

Or because they have Pirlo and Montolivo who can do everything Aquilani can do and more, and without their legs falling off. It says a lot that Milan have £50 million burning a hole in their pocket and badly missed Pirlo last season, but would rather re-sign Flamini than go near Aquaman...

I bet most of that £50m will go towards covering their massive losses ;)

Juve are spending their prize money and looking to solidify their position as Milan, Inter and Napoli decline.

Also, having money is a separate point to being tight with money. They don't want to spend a penny more than they have to.

Pretty sure Montolivo has been poor for two seasons or so, but they've wanted him for a long time, and he was free this summer.

And I'm pretty sure your wrong, like every player he has had a period where he had some ups and downs but for a good few years now he's been the key man for Fiorentina and was one of the better performers for Italy during the Euro's.

That's what Silvio's there for ;)

So being willing to spend £50 million on RVP and Suarez, but not pay £7 million for Aquilani classifies as tight?!? They've already splashed around £50 million this window on players - they're hardly Hicks and Gillett!

And even tho' he's been poor they'd still rather have him over Aquilani. Says it all really...

Why is it all the fans in Manchester with an ounce of common sense support City

And the arrogant glory hunting plastic bitters chose United.

I do have a theory for this.

Feel free to go and sit on the City board all of the time then, I'm sure all of us "arrogant glory hunting plastic bitters" won't miss you.

No no no, you don't get it.

They want to make the money they have go as far as possible - if they think RVP is worth, say £25M, they will not spend more than that. They may have a lot of money, or very little money, but Juventus will spend prudently. As will AC Milan, who are in a bit of a fix in terms of budget and wages.

On Montolivo, I've read a fair few reports on him being underwhelming - he's a player I like and he's certainly got a lot of talent, but he doesn't always show it. Milan have wanted him for a long time, and I'd imagine his wages are less than Aqua's. The choice of a free player against one you'd have to pay for, when both are of similar quality and style... It's simple. Of course Milan took Montolivo, it's good business.

Also, I don't think you can judge a player on a good international tournament - look at Diouf, Kleberson... Bentdner had a good Euro 2012, doesn't make him better than RVP, who had a shocker.

On Juve in this transfer window, they've also sold a fair few, including Elia and Motta. Lucio was a free, and the Giovinco deal seems to be with a view to sell. Isla cost around 9m Euros, which they'll pay over three years, and Asamoah twice that, again over three years - they are hardly throwing the cash around.

Jog on pal, don't come on here getting all mouthy coz you managed to fluke the champions league by parking the bus. An absolute embarrassment to English football<doh>

Despite outscoring every other English team in the history of the competition and the 2nd highest CL scoring campaign since it's renovation.

My word you northerners aren't the brightest are you?
