Apparently Chelsea are about to spend another £25mil on Oscar, young Brazilian midfielder. And everyone thought RA would get bored after they won the Champ League. How much is it they've spent the last 2 seasons? Ridiculous....

£30mil on Hazard, £25mil for this guy, £10mi for Marin. Wonder if they are still going to make a move for Hulk as well. That would be another £25mil+

  3. Plus Torres (£50m), David Luiz (£24m), Meireles (£10m), etc in last two years too <ok>

Last summer they spent £88m on players like Courtious (£6m) Lukaku (£20m) Mata (£23m) Cahill (7m) De Bruyne (£7m). Income was £24m.
Summer before they spent £100m on Torres (50m) Luiz (£25) Ramires (18m) Benayoun (5m). Income was £12m.

Them and City are in a league of their own.

    So rumours today:

    Carroll out 17-20m

    Cristian Tello in 7m
    Joe Allen 12m
    Theo Walcott 15m

Would take the first 2 around those prices but not TW for 15m. Think we got overpaying for inconsistent English wingers out of system last year!

I'd rather Walcott for £15m than Allen for £12m. I'm sure he's a decent player but apart from keeping the ball moving, does he offer anything else? Doesn't get goals and isn't known for his tackling ability. Give me Aquilani over him anyday.

Walcott, although can be inconsistent, offers something we don't have which is pace. His stats for last season were impressive with amount of goals & assists although not sure how many were proper assists or just simple passes.

Ah fair point. Would still rather have him than Allen.

  11. Yep, despite my signature I do rate really rate Aquilani and see him as the perfect fit to the was Rodgers will have us playing. Borini coming in should help Aquilani too but I just don't see him sticking around. He made his mind up (or rather his mrs made his mind up for him) a couple of seasons back that he wasn't staying in England, only problem is that no Italian club will cough up for him <ok>

Milan have just picked up £33m from Thaigo Silva and probably another £20-£30m on Ibrahimovic so should be able to afford him if they really want him, but we all know how tight they are so probably offer another £2m for him or take him on loan until they can get him on a free!

Oh I read your post as £35m for 1 and £40m for the other! <laugh>

Did think you were demanding quite a lot hence my discounted £60m <whistle>. Ok £40m it is and we'll throw in J.Cole as a good will gesture.

  17. <laugh>...yeah, £75m for the pair might be a little on the steep side <ok>

Can we throw in Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing too? Maybe we could stick to the £75m then...<whistle>

Well Adam is worth £10m in corners alone so surely that should be £85m <whistle>

Lol, I see we finally got a productive role for Downing; he moves pretty quick in that giant red bird suit!
