This actually made me laugh, well done. Maybe it is possible to slightly like you, despite your unhealthy obsession with my great club.

  2. I'm a lovable bloke, Gaffe. You Mousers might call me "cheeky" or even "crafty" as I do actually have my origins in the East End, though I grew up in the North (of London). Cockneys are often referred to as either "cheeky" or "crafty" by you Northern folk, as a term of endearment. We never mean any harm, and anything "nasty" we say is always said with a glint in the eye.

And, yes - before you ask - our school did put on a production of Oliver. I played the Artful Dodger, and got rave reviews from all the mums.

  3. Well, the recent signing of Siggy is yet another indication (out of too many to count) that we are now a bigger club than 'Pool. Certainly, top young (non-racist) international players view us as the more exciting prospect of the two, and are clamouring to join us.

I'm busy with work at the moment, but later I will take a trek over to the Mouser board to gauge their reaction to the news, and to see if I can find any evidence that the average Mouser now accepts that they are in our shadow.

  4. Wigan have warned Liverpool and Chelsea that they want at least £12m for Victor Moses, 21.

Moses is one of those players who can look really effective one day and complete ****e the next.
He's got potential, but £12m for a player who's far from the finished article, with only 1 year left on his contract? Pass.

Kenny was also willing to offer £10m for Wilfried Zaha.

Pity he isn't around to pay way over the odds for Palace players past and present - we would've made a packet on Bostock...

  7. Was browsing the Mouser board and came across this comment by one of them, regarding their failure to sign Sigurdsson:-

It's actually very refreshing to find a Mouser who is not deluded, to the point where he obviously realises and understands that 'Pool is now no longer a big club, that they simply do not have the money the match us when it comes to signing top talent, that their level is probably going to be Joey Barton or Clint Dempsey (but, even then, I suspect they'll be out-bid by Everton).

I am quite impressed with this Mouser, and will look for more of his astute postings. I do so hope that his fellow Mousers do not crush this lone voice of reason and clarity.

Yep! small rodents, they took over from the Dinosaurs when the big guys finally came to the end of their domination.

    Do I see parallels?

After missing out on Sigurdsson, Liverpool are now linked with Fabio Borini...the same Fabio Borini who was on loan at Swansea a couple of years ago.

Quite a worrying trend that the only players Rodgers shows any interest in are the ones who played for him at Swansea - especially since those he is allowed to sign in the next twelve months have so far shown no interest in joining him.

  14. ...and far more worryingly for BR and 'Pool is the fact that Cole sees his chance to muscle his way back into the first XI.

Their squad is going to be a joke, next season.

  15. Have any of you guys amused themselves - as I have - that 'Pool haven't signed any new players, yet?

There's exciting news for Mousers that BR will make his first signing this week, but we all know that it's either going to be (a) confirmation that Joe Cole is returning to sit on the 'Pool bench next season, or (b) Joey Barton is signing to be their new enforcer.

A small part of me almost pities the Mousers. They are so earnest in their need to cling to the illusion that they are still a big club, whilst all around them the facade of that illusion is crumbling. Some Mousers have even taken the unprecedented step of admitting that they are ****ed for next season.

Dempsey would be a very good signing for them Hiag, he's a top player, would definitely be a step up from Kuyt.

  18. I'm quite sure he would, WY. I do rate him, a lot.

However, your average Mouser is so deluded that he'll believe that 'Pool should be going for a marque striker.

Rogers prepared to send his 35million striker out on loan. <laugh>

Unprecedented in the history of football I would think, Britain's second most expensive striker of all time to be sent out on loan to learn the job. <laugh>
