Completely agree about Harry. I don't think fans of other clubs can understand just how much he pissed us off with his self promoting bull****. Until Harry is actually managing your club you don't really understand him...I liked him when he first came to Spurs and thought all the warnings from West Ham/Portsmouth/Southampton fans were just sour grapes. But once you see him up close for a while, and especially how he behaves in adversity, the cheeky chappy media image soon disappears and it becomes obvious that here is a man who is really interested in only one thing - himself. Well written article for a tabloid, hits the nail on the head. I really do hope he has learned something about man-management from his Chelsea experience, that is the part that worries me.
Got back from holiday yesterday and though I have heard that he is front runner for your manager has he officially been appointed? From his time with us I wouldn't have made the appointment due to his tactics which were woeful! But he may have learnt from his mistakes and will try to man manage his new players better. Will be interesting to see how it goes for you.
That piece of hack journalism from The Mirror is absolute proof that these hacks can't even be arsed to look on fans fora chatrooms, such as this one. If they did, they would realise that AVB will not be welcomed with open arms at our club, with supporters being deeply divided as to the wisdom being shown by Levy at bringing him in, nor are fans reeling from Redknapp's sacking, with quite a number of us actually glad he's gone. There are few things I hate in this world - simply because there are better things to do with one's life - but I could probably make a strong case for my hating the so-called sports' journalists.
He was likely to step down either way - he would've signed an extension prior to the tournament if he was staying on...like van Marwijk did.
this is what most Spurs fans think..it has been going on for a long time now about Harry..but those that backed Levy wont change their view about why Harry had to go..and yes even if we dont get top 4..Harry still had to go..all explained quite clearly by Spurf again...we are not brought up as glory hunters ..loyalty etc is ours definately not Harry's.
His tactics might work with a squad prepared to try them, rather than your lot who were clearly trying to get rid of him.
luckyferkers should be Chelsea's name lucky because that's what you were last season. However it's done and what's done is done and all that codswallop. Your boss isn't exactly a top international boss is he and I'm not sure that he will cope with the pressure and the impatience of the Chelsea heirarchy.
To be fair TMT I think RDM showed remarkable composure under pressure in the CL and that's why he's been given this chance. Mind you the impatience of Abramovich is another matter and he is not going to get a Chelsea playing like Barca with this man is he?
I do not think chelsea were that lucky to be honest, every time they needed to find the net they did. As for RDM when he took over he was in a win win situation, now that he is in the hot seat its a lose lose situation and its going to be real pressure for him. I think most chelsea fans would take CL qualification for his first season but will Roman? He needs to win the CL again or the prem and that is pressure, whereas levy would be more than happy with Cl football. Robbie would not of even been short listed for the chelsea job in normal circumstances but that really counts for nought when big names come in and f*ck up. On the plus side he did win the CL and the FA cup and he had the team playing for him, so who knows. What ever happens its going to be interesting and fun as the CFC roller coaster ride continues.
Spurf,RDM taking over at Chelsea when he did reminds me of Ramos taking over with us when he did. He came through mid season and won the Coca Cola or whatever it was called then. He couldn't really take the credit for it we were on our way already with the momentum. I feel it was the same with RDM at Chelsea, taking over with the momentum intact. We saw what Ramos did next season and well, let's see what happens with RDM.
There is a big big difference though TMT, RDM has very good knowledge of the PL, and his English is perfect.
Yes but RDM was there already and would not even have been considered had he applied from outside. There are many pros and cons here Spurf.
and nearly as good as watching your lot blow it every time they come within 10 points of finishing above arsenal !!
