personally i think he has a poor sense of humour. as for Affeley(sp)..hes overated..i dont want him..he would come with the same kind of potential as Gio and Babel for Pool...and a dirty price tag!
The price that has been reported isn't that high IIRC. So you wouldn't want him at all even if the price was right? And how do you feel about AVB? Reckon he'll do a good job?
me personally im happy to have AVB..but tha has gone down like a lead baloon with many fellow Spurs fans..i know it will be intresting that is for sure..i think there is a cracking manager somewhere in AVB. AS for Moutinhio..i dont think he is scoring enough for me to be in such demand...cant say i have watched him too much..one criticism everyone had of Modric was that he doesnt score near enough the amount he should get...then again if we want to sell a non goal scoring mid for 40 mill..then 32 mill for one isnt too bad in the grand scheme of things..and i can see him coming if its AVB we get. edit..sorry i think you was talking about Affeley..well i really think hes overated i would not want him at all...i dont think he has the kind of mentality i personally admire in players..looks like he thinks hes the dogs bollox when in reality hes just a dik....rumours were flying about him thinking he is better than the rest ..within the dutch squad because he plays for Farcelona....and truth is everytime he was taken off and VDV brought on..the Dutch seemed more dangerous.
People were the same when he was rumoured to get our job but I wasn't too bothered, not as much as the rest of the Liverpool fans anyway. And you make good points about Moutinhio but aren't we talking about Affelay?
http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepag...My-Tottenham-team-will-win-AVB-the-title.html Harry's verdict on AVB. he has already pencilled in his own interview the day it happens if it does Harry...gotta love him.
I must have heard it wrong, I was sure Harry had said we had overachieved. Now it seems we are a shoe in for fourth AND the title. Is he suggesting someone else will do it better, surely not!
thats the point Spurf....so hes taking his slice of the cake now..because he knows the potential is great.
Players in our current squad that Harry can't claim as his own... Modric Bale Lennon King Dawson Huddlestone Assou-Ekotto Players that he can claim as his own... Walker Van Der Vaart Parker Sandro Players that are a bit of a gray area... Kaboul Defoe
Some ITK on TalkSh*te is claiming that AVB will be announced our new manager next week, and that the only reason it hasn't happened sooner is due to the fact that there's a clause in AVB's contract with the Chavs that prevents him from joining an EPL team whilst he was on gardening-leave, but that clause comes to an end on Sunday. How the hell do these people know this stuff? I do so hope that that isn't the news that will blow our socks off!
This is Harry through and through. Always got to have the last word and wants to put the pressure firmly on the next guy to take his job. Pathetic.
Three questions for Harry, after reading that interview: i.) If you feel "your" players can win the Premier League next season, what went wrong this season? ii.) Are you aware that Spurs could still be "your" team if you didn't spend three months messing them around? iii.) As you didn't sign Modric, Bale, Lennon, King, Dawson, Huddlestone or Assou-Ekotto (whilst Defoe and Kaboul are grey areas), do you consider them "your" players?
Joe Jordan has also come out and said that under 'Arry (and coincidentally, also with the fine stewardship of one Joe Jordan) Spurs would have only improved next season. Improved how I'm not sure as the interviewer seems to have failed to ask him why after 3 and a half seasons our set-pieces have regressed and that while individual performances have ebbed and flowed that the team seemed to have stagnated a little.
Its a shame Harry couldn't show us his crystal ball, I've no idea what the first Spurs team is going to look like next season, one thing I do know, it won't look remotely like 'his' team.
Only yesterday i was reading how he would take 4th everytime and now we are going to win the league Harry really confuses me
It's not confusing at all once you realise that, from his point of view, the world revolves around Harry!.
Villas-Boas had a squod of players there at Chelsea that were only a couple of years younger then him. Most of those player had won things and had big ego's to feed. They could not and did not accept direction from Boas, especially after a couple of bad results. The squod here at Spurs is that much younger then the old boys at Chelsea., and we have different initial aspiration. Villas-Boas could be a good signing. He has Euro-management experience, of sorts and is very ambitious. I'm not saying he'll be the best thing since sliced bread here but, to compare him to some of the names being linked to the management of Spurs !!!.... well I'll just say, I'd rather have him then most of them. If Levy signs him, I think he'll at least keep us in the hunt and players with real ambition will play for him. He is also known and respected throu-out Europe, and therefor should be able to attract decent young players for future transfers and signings.
