With Clark and Bruce both saying they've not even spoken to us and Ehab saying he expected the manager to be signed this weekend, it seems obvious it's neither of them.

Is that directly from the horses mouths or is that from agents twitters or something else?

Tbh this has all become so fooking muddled, I can't figure out who is in, who is out, who sucks, who would be a coup. Fair play to the Allams because if they conduct player transfers like this, noone will know what we're up to and be able to bugger about with us.

Swanny tweeted that he'd spoken to Clark and we'd made no approach, he's said the same about Blackwell, Bruce's agent has said we've not contacted him and Carlisle have issued a statement that we have made no approach and they expect Abbott to be in charge next season.

I read a post earlier that Lee Clark had been interviewed but hadnt heard anything else since, lets hope its Billy Davies then and at least some of us will be a liitle richer!!

Doesnt always mean much in football circles does it, Brendon Rodgers wasnt interested in liverpool

It won't be Robinson, he ruled himself out right at the start and he's just signed a three year deal that would cost a fortune in compo, he's about as likely to join us as Sir Alex is.

Ah ok fair enough, so non deniers include:

Mick McCarthy or Billy Davies

Either of which I'd be happy with. Everyone else appears to have either ruled themselves out, or have been ruled out by 3rd parties.

Still could be Bruce though...or even someone we've never even thought of. Just hope its sorted by end of next week as players will be finishing up holidays and thats when the work needs to start.

I think it will either be Davies, or some wild card that none of us have heard of.

I'd be happy if it was Davies or McCarthy, but I can't stop thinking, as OLM said, that it might be some random bloke no one has mentioned.
