Thanks for the sweet tea, Ak. What I need now is a quadruple shot espresso as the children in tandem and my restless leg have kept me awake all night. I have to go to work soon.

As forecast this afternoon turned out to be too hot for work before 4.00pm and even then it was try to find jobs that were still in the shade of the trees. The French evening news has been showing pictures from the Var where they had storms with hail stones the size of golf balls. This could have a serious effect on the vines and push the price of wine up next year. <yikes>

It would seem that Wine has something in common with Oil then - when there is a shortage prices go up as it is down to "supply and demand" and when there is a glut prices go up as well - a vintage year is more expensive but those are the best growing years!

Price of diesel is falling here. Approx. price £1.06 litre

There was a major outcry here last year when the tax on a bottle of wine went from €0.03 up to €0.05 a bottle. I would wager that our new left wing President will not put it back down. :(

Petrol at the Dome roundabout has fallen too, its down from about £1.34 to £1.29. Its great!! It cost me under £40 to fill the tank yesterday!! I was amazed. :D

evening all...

my my Ak, you spoiled me this morning, that coffee was exceedingly frothy, thank you!

i saw that price today Dan, my excitment knew no bounds, til i realised two things. 1. i didn't need petrol, and 2. i'm excited about petrol costing £1.29...that can't be a good thing!

It's pretty shocking although who knows if its just a scare tactic by the BBC ..

Because for the world cup in Africa there was suppose to be all sorts but nothing appeared

I read of the worry about racism in Pólland and Úkraína. Do they hate everyone who is not one of them or just people who are obviously different? How this question is answered the situation is not good. I can understand that experience of something new causes problems and England is a lot more tolerant than anywhere else but the English must show an example again like 60 years ago and stand against this and where they lead others will follow. The unhappy side is that this takes a long time. What surprised is some of the other nations expected to be level with England in stopping racism are not.

Ak, what I gather from the Sky documentary, the ones that are obviously different are the relatively easy target but as the group they were focusing on were neo-Nazis, they also mentioned that they hate Spurs due to the Jewish connection. They were in Donetsk, where England play their first two games against France and Sweden. When you consider that they have the likes of Gael Clichy and the Olsson twins in their squads, I wonder if they are mentioning this in those countries or is it just us as the Ukrainians know that with our history, there is more likely to be a reaction from a minority of English fans?

Afternoon all :) having a great day today, sorting out Bat Mitzvah stuff as my car is in for a new clutch and i can't work. I kinda wish every day was like this, it's hugely productive!
