Seriously thinking about taking a week to have a drive around that area and go to the game too..we're not having a holiday this year so this could be the answer :)

    Morning all

Been a major stress this week after I had a complete melt down on my PC...... Lost everything. Had 4 days of <yikes>, Had to buy a new machine....and yesterday... a lot lighter in the pocket..... back on line... with seemingly all documents recovered.

Worst thing was my emails and email folders. To cut a long story short..... we have 9 email profiles.. 5 with sky and four NTL all feeding in to outlook express set up by my nephew, mmmm..., about 5 years ago... and all my holiday bookings and family flights over the summerwere on one folder in my NTL profile. Teccchy and me were almost climbing out of the window... phone calls to some call centre in India re NTL (now of course Virgin media), phone calls to sky, phone calls to my nephew in Sweden. We now seemingly have access to all our inboxes... and have found (PHEW) the folder with all holiday bookings in. I tell you I have not been so stressed in years.

Interesting enough i also had some fraud on my credit card last week too...

    Lessons:
Get a proper paid up virus checker - we had microsoft security essentials
Gave a proper back up system - we had none
Get a personalised email address(es) - rather than a rag bag of old ones

The weird thing is that all week mlle yorkie has been revising Stress for her A level on Tuesday <doh>

Last night in recovery: Indian meal, Men in Black 3, and a lot of wine...

Anyway time to move on and get back to fully functioning equilibrium.

Can't quite do a :) yet..... but will get there!

Sounds fun Yorkie<yikes> I cant stress enough that nowadays free security online is only better than no security, You can get decent security for £50 or less a year is that so much to protect your data!

Yorkie you should store everything valuable on a memory stick as well.

It's always easy to be wise after the event.

Wonder if Red went to today's Women's FA Cup Final which was held at Bristol City - well done to Birmingham City Ladies who beat Chelsea Ladies on penalties.

Have the perfect answer to stress, Yorkie...go to Yorkshire! Arrived in the Dales mid-afternoon, bought some Yorkshire lamb and Skipton bottled beer at the local farm shop, started an instant barbie in our rented cottage garden, after walking to local pub along the Pennine Way for a quick pint, consumed said beer and complimentary bottle of red with barbied lamb...job done! May well move to Yorkshire soon though sobering up in the morning and Mrs H's raise eyebrow at the suggestion may reduce the likelihood of it happening...

    Morning all :)

Yes H stress levels have been on the ceiling this week, along with A level revision, waiting on approval of a redundancy package and an interview for a new part-time job next week.... Yorkie WHAT ARE YOU DOING <yikes>

Morning All, back home after my trip down south.;) Very good to be away and see different sites, taste different food and wines, but I cannot believe just how much the grass and weeds have grown in just two weeks.:(

The daughter who lives out here now bought a new digital box from Amazon so that she could watch UK television. Having installed a dish etc. the box was thought to be faulty, but they needed to test it with another one before sending it back. They borrowed mine to carry out the test, but managed to wipe all of the programmes off it. Last night I had a heck of a job to get it to download them again and somehow have some on satellites that I cannot even receive.<yikes>

All this techie stuff is great while it works, which is does most of the time, so when it does go wrong you have forgotten what you must do to put it right. My sympathies are therefore with you Yorkie. Hope that things settle down for you. It sounds as if you need some quiet time tending the vines.;)

    Morning Frenchie

Glad to hear you had a good holiday.... :)

Enjoy the cutting and weeding ;)

What is the temperature like over there?

Yes the trouble with techies is they sort it all but in a way that only they understand.... So I ahve just had one trying to work out what my nephew did.. and of course he has now set up his own version of it <yikes>

Good to see Huddersfield go up.... just a half hour for me to the ground.... so I still get to Sheffield once too.

Afternoon all - busy week-end in the garden getting it in shape. Only downside is the numerous trips to the tidy tip - oop's sorry, The Recycling Centre! Some pottering round the house to do, prepare some lunch and then off to see Joan Armatrading tonight at The Stables at Wavendon.

It really dos seem that Orange was a very unlucky colour during the play-offs. First Blackpool, then them and then the Sheff Utd keeper. I was in my local watching the game and

Warm, sunny, with just a gentle breeze to stop you over heating while you attack the jungle here.;)

Think that I will need to join the fitness thread having just discovered that I have put weight on while on holiday. :(

Public holiday for the second weekend running tomorrow. Will cut back a bit on Tuesday which should be alright providing I don't eat or drink too much tonight.

    Afternoon all

A lovely day today, and with work cancelled, i managed to read my book in the gentle rays in the garden...delicious! Shame about the diet, i could have done with some alcohol! Ah well, it'll be worth it when i'm dead!

i do feel for you Yorkie, i hope you can get a clear head sooner rather than later...<hug>

Thanks for the caramel latte Ak, yum!

Right, off to beautify myself for a night out with friends...i do hate going out on Sundays but once in a while, i guess it's ok. See you later if anyone is up when i get home :)
