I see James Collins has spent the last 3 years playing in league 2, would he be able to handle/cope with such a massive step up???
And for every Le Fondre there are what, 5/6/7 strikers who dont make the step up. Not saying he wouldn't be good enough, Id just be a bit concerned/worried if he did sign him. But rather him than Garner though!!!!

As far as I'm concerned rumours relating to clubs where they don't have a manager or have one that's only recently been appointed are a complete load of rubbish until the managers have looked at the players and decided who they do or don't want.
Don't bank on that AK - we've made some good signings from them in the past - Chamberlain, Spring and Keen some to mind - but there's a heck of a lot of ill-feeling towards the little sh*te that is Connolly.
I am sure those who complained about us getting Danny Graham from Carlilse would have the same views about another League Two player. For once, if this was more than a rumour, why don't we trust our recruitment team!
Keen? A "good signing"? Oh please - the man who took us down into the 4th division and kept us there? How is that "good"?
He initially signed for us as a player and, as a player, there was nothing wrong with him. The fact that we later turned him into a bad manager is irrelevant - as a player he was a good signing.
As far as I recall he was a good player both for the Hoops & them (what a pedigree), but his legs had gone by the time he signed for us. My abiding memory is of his tackling, some of which was so late as to be embarrassing. A poor man's Keith Eddy (very poor!)
Yet he was Keith Eddy's captain in the England X1 tour of Australia six months before signing for Watford.
