really they ruined it by making it a pizza shop!?!?! was you around when the corner shop on the same row got set on fire? i remember that place been really friendly as the the chippy set of twats who did that nearly killed the whole family!
Yes we remember that happening Jaynes parents still live down Lorraine Street also i forgot about Moby Dicks chippy on Holderness Road definately a good one and they also used to do some interesting side dishes like fried and battered mushrooms lovely.
Ferriby used to be a brilliant chippy, but they started doing pizza's too(it's still decent, but it's not what it was).

it ruins places when the the add pizza place to it as they seem to concentrate more on that! its happened to a few places i have lived near since leaving Hull
Second that , I travel to Hornsea to give my boys a run about on the beach and a kick about by the boat yard .
There's a couple of benches where they like to sit and munch Whiteheads fish and chips . Then off to play slam against the pump house wall to burn it off .
Used to use Sullivans but Whiteheads pipps em .
is the chippy on londesborough street open again the patties from there were amazing used to stock up on 3 or 4 on the way to home matches haha
What happens is people mess with tradition. Pizza and kebabs in a chippy!! It probably started with someone asking for beans and it just escalated!!

I find it funny that a pizza and kebab place near me has gone opposite way and recently started doing fish and chips not bad either and they deliver lol
