I don't get it. I don't hate the Mags, well, occasionally I do, but I do want them to lose every week. I'd love us to both qualify for Europe every season, but I love it when they **** up. Hmm.
The guy that picked me up yesterday was a mag but said he liked to see Sunderland do well and was not into the rivalry. Good job really or I might still be sat at Woolly Edge services. Johnson would be a fantastic signing. He can play left or right or I bet even down the middle. You have to think if we lost Sess Johnson or McClean could play off the main striker. If we keep Sess its more competition for places and cover for injuries. Johnson and a top quality striker would do for me.
im not from sunderland or even england so that might explain it but... i see north east football as a group of clubs like a brand... i support one branch of north east football sunderland afc they are my team however i also like the brand to do well because its good i want newcastle to lose like any team we lose to but i want them to get 4th and have a good run in europe alot more then liverpool and chelsea infact im going to see newcastle play at the weekend against liverpool
Never gonna happen really, is it? 1). He might not have cemented a first-choice place, but he's featured in 22 apps out of 30, so he's a regular player in one of the best teams in Europe and hardly some unwanted fringe player like Onuoha. 2). Man City regularly rotate players, as do most very big teams, so it's not like he's being left out 3). He could grab himself winners medals and all sorts at City 4). If any team isn't going to need to sell a player, it's going to be stupidly rich Man City. One thing I've noticed about Man City is that they have a thing for at least a few top English players. Hart, Richards, Johnson, Milner and so on. Johnson could end up being a key feature of the future England squad, so I really can't see Man City wanting to let him go at all. PS: Just before anyone thinks I have the anti-mackem bias, I don't think he'd come to us either, at all.
I've just rang my brother in law and he has back tracked slightly saying he cant remember him wearing any footy tops in general untill he sign forms for boro. Then he use to wear their gear. Want to make his mind up (Brother in law that is)
oh and by the way just saw a youtube clip of a Q&A session with and he prefers the right wing. So there you go sign him up!!
I agree Chappaz. You forgot to add that he's currently earning much more money than either of our clubs would be willing to pay him. Nice to dream it though.
He's a Newcastle fan, his family supports Sunderland but he's a mag, I've seen the interview with him, he gets asked if scoring against us was bittersweet and he said not really cuz he supports newcastle
I am sure he has said he supported Sunderland, then another one Newcastle, and a few months ago Boro. I just think he tries to keep everyone happy. As MONmush said I would love to see Newcastle fail badly...but then I don't. I love them losing, but I would also like a team in NE to do well because we never get any respect. Johnson would be a brilliant signing, and you forget one thing...we have MON. I reckon he could get anybody to sign for us (realistically that is).
I have no doubt that Johnson will be The target of 5 or 6 clubs this summer. Despite playing in almost half the games, the majority were from the bench. That can't be what a young footballer wants surely? However, huge wages; fees and the fact man city don't need to sell, will all play a part in that outcome. I'd happily welcome him to play the right wing, opposite McClean. That would be exciting.
The actual quote was he watched them not he supported them - he supported Sunderland but went to watch them in the days of Ginola etc with his Uncle
There must be a secret video where E Short has revealed that SAFC wage structure is about to go out the window. Otherwise, he ain't gonna be going to the SOL.
