You might have missed this, but Bruce isn't our manager anymore. It's some bloke called O'Neill apparently
Not sure how much it would matter to you lot, as he's a cracking player, but the lad follows Newcastle :
Grew up a Newcastle fan according to the lad himself. Not that it would stop him signing for Sunderland. The main obstacle to that would be him earning an absolute fortune, playing for a club competing for the championship, and if he was available Sunderland would be some way down the pecking order in terms of clubs who'd want him. Class act though, reminds me a lot of Waddler.
Do you not think his comments about Newcastle had something to do with him being on their books as a young whippersnapper. I know professionalism is a concept that is alien north of the Tyne.
Nah he is just a Newcastle fan. But to be honest it means very little in terms of dictating his football career. I had this discussion with a few mates and people get way too hung up on loyalty. The world has changed (probably not for the better in this regard) and players have loyalty to one thing, their bank balance. To be fair if most of us get an offer to go and do the same job somewhere else for more money, we go. We're all guilty of it nowadays, its just we find it harder to accept with footballers because of the money involved.
Although what people say now and did then are different things, i went to middle school with Steven Taylor and he went through a phase of wearing a Boro top!!
this ffs this, will some **** tell us where this is from lol, also who gives a **** who he supported as a lad?
