Can't stand the people that leave early. Absolute disgrace in my opinion. That said, I do think the exiting of St Mary's and the busy-ness of the northam footbridge is very aggrevating. The stadium takes a long time to file out after the final whistle, often leading to people climbing down the rows and over the chairs. The way some people leave early mean for me in the northam, you can walk to the bottom towards the end, find an empty seat for 1-2 mins then exit quickly after final whistle and applauding the players. But yes, can't understand why people leave early. Pointless.

No, but I also don't leave football matches before the end. However, I respect the rights of people who wish to do so just as I respect the rights of people who wish to leave early from a game of Scrabble to go and watch the Queen's speech.
 
Control the controllabes, i.e. yourself. We moan the turnout is poor, then we get annoyed when fans leave early. Should we hand out leaflets how to be a perfect fan. Whilst its frustrating, at least these fans are supporting our team with their hard earned money. Enjoy the football and the moment.

What the players think? The fans pay their contracts, they get paid huge amounts money for an entertainment job <doh> Get a grip.

I remember getting back to the pub and saw a guy who had taken his son to the match as a 16th birthday treat. Can't remember the game or the exact score. Have a feeling it was 1-1 and we scored the winner in Injury time. I asked this guy's son what he thought of the thrilling end. "Thrilling? We only drew."

I thought that sad, but what gets my goat are the flipping whingers on here. I am convinced the large majority of fans are put off posting on the Not606 site because of them.You are welcome to your opinions as I am to mine. FFS we all have choices.

The times are only approximate, all i know is where it hurt every time i had to stand up to let these fools out, it probably annoyed me more than normal.
I just dont see the point in paying good money to watch a match,and then only seeing half of it,especially when the team are playing so well,and about to achieve promotion (hopefully).
 
As ever, everyone is entitled to my opinion.

1. People leaving early causes an inconvenience to others and I would rather folks didn't.
2. Personally, I have never left early
3. For those who drove in to the match, leaving early doesn't just save 5 minutes, it could actually make more like half an hour difference for high attendance games.
4. People pay their money and can choose when to leave in a free Country.
5 Their reasons for doing so may be considered by others to be satisfactory or not, but it's irrelevant to the person doing the leaving. There is no point in being angry with a "percentage of fans whose reason for leaving, I don't think is good enough."
6. Switching off the monitors showing the match in the concourse during the last 15 minutes would encourage some to remain in their seats until the final whistle.
7. I would happily accept 2 interruptions per half in exchange for an extra 3 inches of seat width. ;)
 
Lol at it's only a game,why do we get so het up about it! It's called a passion and a love for a club! believe it or not but we can have a good life outside of football but can still get upset or angry about it! I've got far more important things to worry about than a footy result but it stills affects my life and mood if we are doing well or not so well.What i'm trying to say is there is plenty of room in peoples lives to worry about everyday stuff but they can still worry about the state of their football team just as much! I guess i haven't got a life though because i treat football as a fairly important part of it!

My rant about people leaving early got sidetracked last night in a chat with joesteinberg about my sign-on name. I said it was supposed to be ironic because I think it's more than just a game. He went on to say he got just as emotional about a game of Scrabble. At that point I decided to go to bed.

I don't get angry at the early leavers although to myself I am calling them brainless idiots, but in a calm way.:emoticon-0105-wink:
Most of those who excused the selfish behaviour said that "they pay their money so they can do what they want", so on that basis I shall be booing Puncheon and Guly whenever I feel like it and it should be seen as ok . Afterall I've paid my money I can do what I like, right?

Exactly! i think it's just too easy to say that "i pay my money so i can do what i want" Of course you can but so could i but i don't because i just see the importance of staying on until the final whistle.Ok i'm not gonna change it or anything but it's nice to be able to have a good old moan about it,it's what football's all about.

By the way when i wrote it's only a game at the beginning of my post it wasn't directed at you,it was at the people saying it's only a game haha.

Honestly, Production Engineer? You missed your vocation as a Time and Motion Study operative! You may have missed some of the on pitch action while doing this, and yes it is ruddy annoying, my area has a lot of casual seats, mostly sold just before kick off and it is usually these clients that are responsible for the impromptu Mexican Waves, not much you can do about it I am afraid.
