I HATE people who leave early - beating the traffic is a pathetic excuse. I remember when we played Norwich in the JPT trophy and people were flooding out as we were losing. We score with virtually the last kick of the game and people who hadn't left the stadium come flooding back. They shouldn't have been allowed to.

I don't have so much of a problem with people leaving early, as stated above they paid their money, if they leave early they're getting less value for it.

My issue comes with having to stand up and down, or people in front of me having to, meaning I miss bits of the end of the game too!

Pisses me right off! Imagine what the players must think? They have worked hard on a hot day, got 2 goals and 3 points and have gone 5 points clear at the top!! yet still people can't be arsed to stay till the end and applaud there efforts.

Doesn't usually bother me one iota, but I was taken aback yesterday with the number of fans who poured out of the Chapel immediately after Sharp made in 2-0. There was still 15 mins left.

I've never left early actually, but if others want to that's fine by me. Luckily it means I'm surrounded by complete goons for a shorter amount of time.

It confuses me more than it upsets me. I don't understand why people want to rush out of the ground 10 minutes early, but that's fine - more space for my fat arse.

Well it's not much to ask is it? To sit on your arse for 5 minutes more and applaud the players for their effort and maybe lose 10 minutes on the journey home. I just don't understand what they gain from leaving early.

This comment is absolutely spot on!! what fans see is what the players see and it definitely can't help them! Someone said about people pay so they can do what they want is very true but it doesn't stop it being utterly pathetic and no matter what anyone says,if you haven't got a valid reason other than beating the traffic i think it is **** support if you leave early! The players deserve more respect for their efforts and no-one can tell me any different!

There were a couple of lads sat in front of me yesterday who came in 5 mins late, left at '37 to go to concourse, came back at '54 and left at '87. Honestly, why pay all that money if you're only going to watch that much of the match? Makes me wonder, but, whatever floats your boat I suppose!

Indeed, those are the ones that I really notice and think... why bother at all..? They're obviously very half-hearted about watching Saints, or maybe football in general. I've even heard one of that type of supporter [?] ask what the score is. I mean, do keep up, or would you like a pillow..? Usually they're more concerned with the contents of their new phone than what is going on around them.

I have a confession to make. Years ago at The Dell I was watching Saints and was convinced we were 1.0 down and everyone was yelling for us to equalise. It was right near the end that I realised that we had equalised and it eventually finished 1.1. Now I was present for the whole match, watching all the time, but had apparently missed a goal. I can only think it was so boring my mind had wandered.
