Brady on the bench? No thanks...

People moaned about the selection against Saints but this one's more weird if you ask me. Koren being replaced by Cairney who is purely a midfielder? That's just a simple 4-5-1. Also no Brady? Why the hell? He's been one of our best players lately. Even if you don't put him in the middle surely he should be preferred to Stewart on the wing?

I hope I'm wrong about the midfield 3 but I can't see any of them joining in attacks, it just looks even more negative than normal to me.

When Evans has pushed forward into the Koren role he's played it quite well if I recall. Can't remember who it was aginst though.

Burnsy has just said he's been 'told' that Evans will play fuirther forward rather than Cairney. That makes more sense to me that way around. As I've said a few times I like Cairney but he's definitely better at spraying it around from deep than finding space further up.

I still think Evans might spent too little time getting forward and we'll be very light on attacking numbers but we'll see how it goes. I'd still have played Brady though.

Whilst only slightly related to the thread... great news from up North.

Bristol City have scored their first away goal of 2012, and done so against Middlesborough.
