I didn't go either but am guessing he was subbed early for a reason

I did go and couldn't understand why he was subbed ahead of either Evans or McKenna, they both had worse games than Cairney, who admittedly did make a couple of mistakes but that's largely because he saw a lot of the ball and largely made good use of it.

McKenna was poor on Tuesday and worse today, some of his passing was awful. I think two games in a week is not surprisingly starting to be too much for him.

Cairney has become the latest scapegoat at City, if he'd have made some of the mistakes that both Evans and McKenna made today there would have been people moaning all around me but I hardly heard a murmur.

For what it's worth I would have started with Cairney in the hole and Evans in midfield.

I think Mckenna needs a rest in the next couple of games because he looks like he really needs it!

Cairney didn't play badly today, but if he was supposed to be playing the Koren role, then he doesn't know what the Koren role is, he was about 30 yards too deep.

We looked better when Brady replaced him, but we still looked limp up front.

There was decent support today, I heard no booing at all.

The problem we have, and this will inevitably continue in the Summer, is that we need ONE player to be complete. BUT that one player, to get the right player, will cost a fortune. How will that problem be resolved???

The other part of the equation, of course, is keeping our fantastic youngsters when their ambition appears to outstrip that of our owners.

This is where I have an issue. How do you criticise the uncriticisable? SOOOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING!

Evans was the player supposedly playing in the hole but was pretty ineffective, Cairney was the pick of the midfielders for me but I would have switched the two of them around.

Brady kept playing passes that were cut out because they were telegraphed.

Barmby apparently told Blunderside that Evans would be the furthest forward of the 3 central midfielders. If that wasn't evident on the pitch I assume he was well out of position.

Cheers for that, I didn't hear any commentary at all today so just saw he was subbed.
