Only problem i have with Kasper doing it he smashes the ball first time to Beckford too much. Its no longer a secret weapon. Your defenders wont have a clue first time it happens but after Kasper has attempted it 2 or 3 times they switch on for it. Konchesky is pretty solid but Peltier has gone off form recently and you may have some fun running at him at times.

I dont think we have a midfield crisis. Just the media exaggeration, there just have little knocks. But if they dont make it we have options.

Jack Hobbs is a solid defender but he got too easily bullied at times, he needs to develop a bit of a meaner streak if he is going to reach his potential. I havent seen much of Chester. He wasnt really tested when we played you because of the red card

Fryatt cant hit a cows arse one week and then scores a couple a week later. I think he is too much of a confidence striker to make it to the prem.

Stewart did play well against us at the KC but we was sitting back inviting pressure and we wont be tommorow.

I'm jinxing it here, but I don't think he's made a mistake since he rejoined us that's cost us a goal. He's played I think 12 league games for us now this season and kept 9 clean sheets. Games 10 and 11 (not in the order played) he was beaten by that shot from Ince at Blackpool that he didn't have a chance with, a penalty he didn't concede, and a 20 yarder that went flying into the top corner. Against So'ton it was an own goal and an unmarked player from 3 yards out because Chester got himself out of position making a poor clearance.

That Ince goal was class, you could have had all your keepers in goal and it still would have went it. Bullet right in the corner.

    That's hilariously bad isn't it?

I think it's an Arsenal thing. They always have **** goalies, they've had 6 or 7 different keepers in recent years and every one has suffered from this kind of thing. When Vito has been with us he's been consistently brilliant in both his loan spells.

The thing about Vito's distribution isn't actually the accuracy of his kicking, it's that as soon as he makes a save he's on his feet trying to release one of the forwards with a quick throw or kick. He won us the game in the last minute at Sheff. Utd. last season by doing just that.

As for who to look out for, Josh King had a very good game the other night, he's lightning quick and got a very good shot on him, but he's a bit less tricky and agile than Stewart is. Also Robbie Brady who usually plays on the right will probably take Koren's place in the middle and will give us something very different to what Koren does.

As others have said, Fryatt might be more up for the game than usual (as will all the lads probably) but our real star performers have been the centre backs who are probably the best pairing in the division.

I not so sure Brady will play in the middle tomorrow and i don't really know why anyone else is(unless Premier Tiger has spoken ?) . I would expect Cairney to play there,in a straight swap for Koren, after looking very good against Southampton. A like for like jobby.

Because Cairney has never played in that kind of position before and Brady has, and he was good at it. The only reason Brady hasn't played there more often is that Koren is our main goal threat and as such, first name on the team sheet.

Do you not think Cairney could play there then ? Id be interested to see some of those pin point passes of his feed Fratt who never seems to get any actual clear cut chances, despite what some on here claim. I would have thought Cairney would be an ideal Koren like replacement.

I've said this on a couple of threads now, but I don't think just because a player is a decent ball-player that automatically means they can play further up the pitch. Koren is ideal in that position not just because he can pass well but because he finds little pockets of space, can beat a man, links up well and can play facing in any direction. Cairney can pass better than anyone else on the team but he doesn't do well in tight spaces (which are very common further up the pitch in this league) he can't beat a man, he isn't really one for linking up with others and can only play facing the goal. That's why he always plays deep in midfield. He's there for his precise passing, long shots and set-pieces.

Barmby said in his press conference yesterday that he had options in Brady, Stewart and Simpson, he didn't mention Cairney, so presumably it won't be him.

Brady has done very well there before,Stewart is in shocking form at present and Simpson doesn't seem to be in favour. So it's likely to be Brady or Cairney. Maybe Nick is being cagey ?

What you mean is, you've seen him make one mistake in a European game for Arsenal, that really isn't much to go on.

You don't get to be the keeper with the most clean sheets in the Championship by being clumsy or error prone.

Exactly what I thought he's brilliant at playing his way out of danger, even in tight spaces he rarely gets tackled, his dribbling skills are brilliant and he's very happy to have the ball at his feet, I'd love to see him play in the Koren role but the only thing that would worry me is he's a fairly slow tempo player and that position needs to be very fast paced, which is why I'd probably give it to Brady tomorrow. If he can make his game higher paced then the hole would be a perfect position for him.

Agreed. I expect the same GK, back 4, with Mckenna and Evans back as a pair. With King Brady and Stewart as the 3 and Mclean up top. The bench i would think maybe PG - Dudg - Cairney - Fryatt - and one from Messrs. Oli, Cooper, Cullen.

You've dsiagreed with me but then kind of said what I'm saying anyway. Cairney is a slow-tempo, 'give me lots of time on the ball and I'll **** you up' kind of player. But he doesn't have the 'something from nothing' element like Koren does. I think it's very unlikely we'll see Cairney play higher up.
