    Ha,

Just kidding skipper, but i actually didn't, as i've not been on much myself.

Back at work today, hence more hours online, despite a workload that would make a battalion of ants **** themselves!

Syd, seriously mate there is a scam like you describe where the real money for them is your Bank details. If you paid for this by providing Card or Bank details I would get onto your Bank immediately.

I had the same virus as Syds twice. First time I was trying to download a CV template and the second time the caravan club site. Cost me £30 to get rid of it the first time (shop in Durham) and the second time my mate did it. Switched to Kasperskey anti virus cos I was told it was the best. I originally had McAfee. The bloke in PC world said they were inundated with PCs needing fixing. He said McAfee was the worst. Also said most people had been on holiday sites. Hope I have got rid of it now - my mate said something was left behind the first time they tried to get rid.

As an antivirus, AVG Free is the best, it takes up the smallest amount of room on the hard disk, it can scan your computer automatically every day with you hardly noticing it and , best of all, it's free. I would reccomend this to anyone over Norton, McAfee, Kaspersky or any others.

I did not pay or give any bank details, the message looks vey real and easy to fall for but once cash is required I am off. Now have comando firewall, man in shop said nothing will get past it.
