It must grate a bit knowing that John Terry is the underlying reason why Redknapp's spurs future is in the balance.

It makes no difference, if Terry is in the dressing room he will act like he is captain. It's already been said by England players that Terry still acted like captain even when not, overriding rio/gerrard. Frankly wish he'd **** off. hopefully new manager will leave him back here for the Euros

What makes you think Terry would be selected? He has consistently demonstrated an undeserved arrogance - England would be better of without him, let him spend his time disrupting his club.
 
David Levy, or whatever his name is, has refused to comment on Arry's future accoring to Sky Sports.

Why not let John Terry be England manager? Given his record of being directly linked to numerous managers being sacked (Mourinho, Scolari, and now Capello), he clearly thinks he can do better. Why not let him try? It'll be better for everyone if he does, and promptly fails miserably.

Terry has been poison for the England team. I think he should have been deselected a long time ago. The fact that Capello reinstated him as captain and took it away from Gerrard was a big mistake in my opinion.

If I was England coach, not only would Ghoddle10 suffer a cerebral edema, but I would've sent him home early from South Africa - and never picked him again.
 
Give the job to Stuart Pearce until the summer, makes sense considering he is U21 and Olympics coach already, as long as the workload isn't too much. After that I don't really mind who they take, maybe Mourinho, Hiddink or even Wenger, as long as it's not Harry I don't really care.

Given that Terry repaid Capello for his (misplaced) loyalty towards him by trying to engineer a mutiny against him at the World Cup, I'm surprised that Capello has resigned over backing Terry.

Although it might be more likely that it's his anger at the FA taking a decision out of his hands, rather than it being specifically about Terry I suppose.
 
Rooney just tweeted he wants Harry as manager. And there you have a player who is trying to destabilise your club.
 
As the FA repeatedly say they want an English manager, they've seriously reduced their options. The credible choices are 'Arry, Pardew and Hodgson, but after that there's dross like Allardyce, Pearce, Mowbray, Warnock, Jewell or Peter Reid, or those untested at the highest level like Lee Clark, Nigel Clough or Nigel Adkins. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised if there were some people calling for Ian Holloway.
