Facebook is a lot like a computer game. The aim is to collect as many items called 'friends' as you can. Bonus points for getting as many obscure people as possible and pretend that you care when it's their birthday so when yours comes round you get more Happy Birthday messages than anybody else on your list, from people none of whom know each other making you look popular as hell to as many people as possible.

I refuse to send Happy Birthday messages over Facebook unless there are severe extenuating circumstances. If me and the person in question know each other well enough we will see each other in person and I can say Happy Birthday then.

I actually removed my birthday because I was sick of all the happy birthday ****. I've learned that the only friends I should give a toss about are the ones that actively make an effort to see me in real life as I do with them likewise, saying that, I think some of them are ****s as well. <laugh>

But.. ffs... It's not like I go around calling myself ugly in real life, I am confident and I can flirt with the right woman, although it's very rate, I'm not insecure and I think I've just put another false image of myself in peoples heads, I knew I shouldn't have started this whole thing off again, all It does is get people to think I'm something I'm not.

God man I'm so frustrated at the moment.

The ladies can sense it though...

I don't use the site at all. I have a standard profile with one photograph up because my girlfriend wanted me listed on there but I use it maybe once every three or four months when I get an email saying somebody has messaged me or something.

<ok> Absolutely. It's sad that the majority of people act in this shallow way in life too, you can pick them out a mile off - not listening to a conversation but have their ears on topic detection mode so they can use the time that the other person is talking to think of their own 'better' story and project the public persona they spend so long perfecting.

It's times like this I can tell I'm an "INFJ", I just feel like everyone in my immediate surroundings are sheep like idiots, I'm the one who see's clearly and people just don't get me. <laugh>
