I really can't respond to you with much mate, I really can't. I'm just going to have to learn by myself. Everyone's experience is different.

I'm just in a stage of my life where I don't know what the **** I'm going to do with myself really.

Give yourself a makeover or something. Changing doesn't necessarily have to be a bad thing. Just because you listen to a certain music genre doesn't mean you have to dress like you do, for example. When you meet someone, you'll change without even realising, it may not be noticeable for a while, but give it a few years and you'll look back and notice big time.

Well certainly consider it because if there's a girl you really like who doesn't seem to be into you at all the best way to win her heart is to know what she likes, get yourself into what she likes and talk about it with her. You may think girls are all superficially into looks and that you're simply screwed because you're apparently 'not good looking enough', but if you connect to a girl on her level with the stuff she's interested in you'll find that the non arsehole ones are actually interested a lot more in the guys who understand them and share their interests.

But I like dressing the way I do. And just because every picture you've seen of me is in a metal t-shirt doesn't mean I wear just metal like clothing.

Sorry but I don't want to give up things I love in hope that a girl will notice me.

So in other words, your girlfriend made you a smarter and better person?

Absolutely she made me want to be smarter, and a better person yes. If I hadn't had the need to be with her I'd probably be the same person I was back then now.

It's about expanding your interests, not giving anything up.

Exactly. I listen to 80's thrash metal, but i dress like i'm either going to work (useful for when i go to work) or a little bit chavvyish (if an arsenal shirt is considered chavvy)

I've noticed i'm changing a bit. A few months ago, i would have come on this thread, and probably mocked Tash. Now i just try and give the guy some advice.

<ok> When people act civil and respectful to eachother it rubs off really. It's easy to sit on the other end of the internet and take the piss, I did it constantly during my early-mid teen years <laugh>, but mentally maturing makes that far less interesting and talking normally gets you more out of it.

When did I ever give you the impression that I wasn't willing to broaden my horizon and expand my interests?

Sometimes I get quite frustrated when on here, because all I've said is that I don't want to give my interests up, not that I'm not willing to look at other things.

I give everything a chance before judging it.

Yeah, I was looking on my older posts which are only a few months old and I've noticed a change in my style.

I remember when I use to think "Who the **** is Tash?".

I'm becoming less offensive and debating more than I would have, it's weird because it's rubbed off in the real world too as people have pointed out to me <laugh>

I used to call people names sometimes when they disagreeing with me 12-14 months ago, but over time on here, I've calmed myself down a bit and I'm normally more composed when debating with people.

I find it hard to believe that there was life before tash. Even before the internet was invented, there was a guy in his late teens, on his typewriter wondering if beardsley should play in a 4-2-2 or a 4-3-2-1

I'm sure you called Wenger a **** the other night? Oh well, who am i to judge?
