I'm sure we all like to fantasise about everything going City's way, but at some point you have to face reality instead of inventing bizarre scenarios to fortify those fantasies. Why on earth does anyone think Doncaster would be willing to accept two of our worst players (McShane and Adebola) in part payment for their best player? They're not daft and they will want either hard cash or one of our best players + hard cash and they won't drop below their £3million valuation without a fight.
who knows whats going on at the moment. the fact neither city nor sharp are in any rush just adds to all the speculation. it just looks like we shall all have to be patient for now.
Considering that they've already turned down £2m from Leicester and have just turned down £2.5m from Saints, I'd say that release clause story is probably bollocks.
on the face of it yes, but this is football and nothing should be discounted. the whole situation is interesting.
who knows. maybe Sharp does not fancy the clubs who have bid so far. i guess we shall all have to wait and see what happens if any club gets upto 3 million then ?
I expect you'll find out tomorrow then, as I suspect either Leicester or Southampton will bid that now.
wonder if Sharp has rung his old mate Beckford to ask what NP is like ? if so, that rules out Lesta. Saints ????
It's funny how the Sharp / City rumours are circulating at the same time as the Stewart / Leicester ones. Compare and contrast to see how on one hand most expect our owners to fight to the death to keep Stewart, while at the same time we think the Doncaster owners will cave-in and release Sharp for the minimum bid.
John Ryan has already said before Christmas that the rumours of the 1.85m was a load of rubbish. His release clause is £3m
