Call me a pasty but what AP said meant to me that we are very much interested in signing Billy Sharp and it was an invitation to read between the lines and he's showing that we want him. Sounds more like he's playing it down for some reason or other, which would make sense if it was a quiet deal but the whole world knows he's available and half the league are after him so can't see how keeping schtum would affect this one. Maybe just so the supporters aren't let down if we fail to acquire him? Personally I'd rather we be in for Billy Paynter
