I think 'Santon - Vertonghen - Coloccini - Cissokho' is genuinely a Champions League defence. Add that to Ba, Ben Arfa, Tiote, Cabaye and Krul, and our first eleven could be quite special!

Yep but we need squad depth. Our strongest 11 is potentially a top 6 team, and it could have finished ahead of Liverpool, but we don't have the depth which is what has killed us recently.

I just think of Samba as someone who looks better because he's surrounded by crap players. I think he's good, but not someone we should be after.

I'm starting to see where you're coming from with this. From what i saw of him against Bolton he was terrible when you actually concentrate on what he does.

Also, where the hell did you get your sig from? <laugh>

Santon was bought with a nagging knee injury that could potentially lay him off for a long time whenever it feels like it, yet no one complained buying him. I do agree with your point though <ok>

Come on, that's completely different...

I knew nothing about that. <whistle>

I wouldnt want Cissokho, he's in absolutely shocking form and I've seen Lyon fans desperately hoping an English club snaps him up while they still think he's good. He's also scored more goals against Lyon than any other player and this season he has already managed to score an own goal and be sent off in the same match.

He's supposedly already got the second most own goals in Ligue 1 history.

Cissokho has been Lyon’s first-choice left-back ahead of Dabo all season, but he finished the year on a low point as he put through his own net as les Gones lost 1-0 away to Valenciennes. This own goal was his fourth in Ligue 1, a tally surpassed only by Jean-Guy Wallemme throughout the history of France's top flight.

Imagine him and Perch in the same back four.

He's not been the same player since a move to us broke down.

Also, if we sign an RCB we'll have New Signing, Saylor and Willo who can play on the right and just Colo on the left. Need 2 CBs really, a starting RCB and cover LCB.
