    People going on about LCB and RCB, does it really matter? Surely any pro CB would be fairly comfortable on either side, especially ones as good Colo or Vertonghen.

    Yes it does matter. For proof, watch a re-run of Germany 4 England 1 from the last World Cup. Upson and Terry are both LCBs and spent most of the game running into each other and standing on the wrong side of the pitch.

    German teams aren't renowned for paying large wages. Would guess that they would be willing to pay roughly 40-50k pw which isn't out of reach for us. Guess it would depend on how much we wanted him.

    Yes I saw that and both players play LCB for their clubs. But would it really take too much time and effort to adapt to RCB if you were consistently picked there with a regular partner at LCB?
