that was it <ok>
is this a serious problem because even though he's good enough (i havent watched him but you guys convince me) to get into our squad i'd like to have at least one player in the team who's likely to be fit for most games

He can play 90 minutes each week if that's what you mean. It may mean he has to retire earlier than usual though.

I'd rather have Pieters. I think Cissokho's the better player, but I don't want us signing someone with health issues with our injury record. Marveaux and Ba were less high risk because they were on frees (although I still think it was ridiculous to give Marv a five year deal). And yes I know Pieters is currently injured, but I've heard nothing to suggest he's injury prone, and if Cissokho has spinal issues it's not just a spell on the sidelines, it's career over.

I don't personally rate Samba. Much like you don't really rate Willo.

I do rate Willo to an extent, but I don't think he's good enough to take us where we want to go. I would love to keep him as back up, but not to rely on him for any significant amount of time.

I just think of Samba as someone who looks better because he's surrounded by crap players. I think he's good, but not someone we should be after.

Santon was bought with a nagging knee injury that could potentially lay him off for a long time whenever it feels like it, yet no one complained buying him. I do agree with your point though <ok>
