Most advanced are the Croatian lads already mentioned, but you won't see any come in until after July 1st. It'll really get going once the World Cup is over.

Is that the four that came out of sergej's interview.. Think it was Luka Stojkovic, Arber Hoxha, Rokas Pukstas and Toni Fruk?

Not sure how much I fancy any of the Turkish lads after this showing

I didn’t watch the Australia vs Turkey game. How did Yüksek play?

I'll admit I wasn't focusing on individuals (and im in aus at the moment so rooting for them behind England) but the entire Turkish midfield felt innefective. Only thing I noticed from yuksek is giving the ball away for the second goal

You can't "Forward weight" sponsorship.

You can't for example sell 3 years sponsorship but receive the full value in the first year?

Wouldn't that depend on the deal struck between parties?

Can you point me to the guidance on that please?

I'd have thought if you could sell multi-year passes and receive the funds in the first year as per Newcastle then you could do similar with other income like sponsorship?

Seems counter-intuitive that you book the full value of transfer revenue in a single period but it's expressly forbidden with sponsorship.

*Ah, found it,

Revenue Recognition (FRS 102 / IFRS 15)

It would effectively be seen as equivalent to a loan.

It’s more to do with the performance obligation that’s assigned to the revenue. If 1/3 of said sponsorship is to do with the 28/29 season front of shirt sponsor until that “performance obligation” is satisfied you can’t recognise the revenue and it would be deferred until then if all received up front. Would assume it stays true to this as opposed to changing for the footballing industry.

I would love Irankunda. Not only because he played for my Aussie club and it'd be a bit surreal seeing him progress to City, and not only because I wanted us to bring him in during Rosie's season, but he's a quality young player with huge potential. I'm just not sure he's ready for the step up to the PL just yet and we can't afford to be spending that sort of money on a player we'd either be loaning back to the Championship or only giving bit piece game time to. He's more the sort I'd look to sign if/when we go back down.
