Along with Roefs, Aldarete, Hume, Ballard and Riggy, I really want us to hang onto them for another season at least. Xhaka and Reinildo are both very likely to still be here too. That's a big 11 first team players to base the squad around. Add youngsters like Talbi, Mayenda, Diarra,Ta Bi, Ellborg and Angulo along with Mundle and there's 18. We don't know what's happening with Traore and Geertruida yet, but if we get Fatawu, I don't think we'll extend Traore's time here, particularly with Riggy finding his feet in the top flight and Geertruida has been linked elsewhere, so may go too.
The amount we raise from the sales of Patto, Adingra and Hjelde alone, plus little extras for current fringe players should get us best part of the way to buying Fatawu and Lucumi, or someone similar. Wilson might also go in search of regular first team football, which will raise more funds. A striker and a CM on top of Fatawu and Lucumi (who can play LB as well as LCB, so covers 2 positions we need strengthening in) would do me fine for the League next season. We will need 4 or 5 more if we are in Europe, to allow us to rotate more.
