This is a very sad and naive post from the OP. Classic 'tribal' mentality.

I'm not suprised Suarez has been found guilty, he is a nasty peice of work and a cheat...we all know this.
Just another black (no pun intended) mark to add to his already impressive record.

What is quite sad if the undignified manner in which the great Liverpool FC have conducted themselves and in particular their manager. Lodge the appeal as you have the right to do but some of the comments and undertones in that statement verges on embarrasing.

I for one think Dalglish should perhaps pipe down now given his very vocal support for someone who has now been found guilty. Perhaps a statement acknowledging the error and a need for better education of foreigners coming over here would have been more appropriate and of a class befitting of one of our great clubs.

So in short, no I won't be supporting Suarez.

So Liverpool fans want to walk side by side with a man found guilty of racism then? Class.

I wonder if this would have been the reaction if he wasn't your best player.

    Kicking Racism out of football! . . . . . . . well for a few weeks anyway.

I don't think 8 matches & £40K fine goes anywhere near enough. What's £40K? Probably half a week's wages. If the FA wanted to stop players being racially abused by other players they should have banned Suarez for the rest of the season, that would have made players think twice about it. Just wondering if they only issued a limited ban so they can do the same for the "beloved" England captain if he's found guilty of the same offence.
What's the point in the FA backing "Kick racism" campaign if they don't back it up? they haven't kicked racism out of football, they slapped it on the wrist and told it not to be such a naughty boy again. <doh>

So that makes Suarez incident alright does it?

The alleged ****ing of his 'best mates' missus has nothing to do with football and the Ferdinand issue is still under investigation.

Suarez has brought shame and embarrassment to your club and yet your fans, manager and board are still fully backing him. As I said above, I would expect more class from a club of your standing in the game.

Disagree. An 8 game ban is more than a slap on the wrist.

The fine I agree is irrelevant (as are all monetary fines in the modern game) but an 8 game ban sends a massive message to all players that this wont be tollerated. This ban will be heavilly felt by the player and the club alike. If he does it again, I would anticipate double that but for a first offence, I think the ban is about right.

I think he was referring to terry calling anton a 'black ****' or words to simulate effect. Suarez wasn't banned for racism btw. Check your facts. Both the FA and Evra denied he was a racist but banned him fr his ambiguous and mistranslated commented nonetheless.

Apparently, accurate descriptions are racist (in the world of Spurs fans, and the FA)...

It's not kicking racism out of football though is it? If the FA want to show they actually back the campaign ban him for the season, ban Terry or whoever else found guilty to the end of the season. I'm certain this will give the clubs the incentive to clamp down on this & "educate" players coming into the club that abusing a player because of the colour of his skin is not acceptable in the English game.

True but 'kicking racism out' if taken literally would mean a lifetime ban which most would agree was disproportionate.

Personally I thought he'd get 5-6 game ban so 8 game ban to me shows real intent.

I know fully well what Terry incident he was referring to hency why I explained it was still under investigation. What part of that confused you?

I don't need to check my facts, Suarez has been found guilty of racially abusing another player. I never said Suarez was a racist. FACT.

There is to much emotion and tribalism (no pun intended!) here - The FA would have to analyse the FACTS and nothing else.

Evra may well have accused people of racism before - Irrelevant, this was the only case being judged.
The word used may be fine in another country or language - Irrelevant, the is an English FA deciding on in incident withing the UK subject to UK regulations and Laws
He admitted using the word - Fact
The word or it's implied meaning is not considered acceptable language to be used in the workplace in the UK accoring to current laws - Fact

Liverpool fans should get over it and move on, your energy would be better placed supporting your team.

As classless a post as I would expect.

And given this entire thread was meant to be some call to arms from all fans of football in support of the buck toothed one, don't get your knickers in a twist when everyone doesn't bow down in support of your club and dare I say...tell it how it is.
