There's a lot to say after that, but my overriding feeling is just that this hasn't been enjoyable for a long time. We've been **** at home for years and we're **** at home again now. We never look truly comfortable or comprehensively beat anyone. If you'd told me we'd finish 6th or 7th this season I'd have thought that sounds like a fun season with lots of good days, but it's been nothing like that.

To be fair, the start of the season was fun but since about mid Feb its been honking.

We score a goal then attempt to park the bus for the rest of the game. We get the ball back and immediately send it into orbit with no thought or care. Ajayi and Egan are average defending but absolutely honking with the ball. Hughes is young and a bit rash defensively but I’d rather that than two ‘experienced’ centre-backs who treat the ball like it’s a bomb about to go off.

We're now in April, I've been saying this since the end of the transfer window and people keep telling me that it's not the case.

Whatever we did between August and December, we aren't doing it now, the tactics are different and it's quite clear that the plan is to go 1-0 up and then sit in and try and catch teams on the break with quick balls forward. It doesn't suit any of our players, I have no idea why we do it, I wish we'd stop and go back to playing entire games on the front foot (or at least for as long as possible).

I've been on a family day out today with some old friends, got a little bit of signal and saw we were winning 1-0, was just before half time. I told my mate to stick a £10er on us drawing that game. He'll still be driving back but when he checks the score he'll be happier than me.

We aren't good enough at the moment, we might have beaten Southampton twice but let's be honest, the form they're in they'll **** all over us if we played them in the coming weeks.

With a full transfer window coming up, I expect some changes, some chaff to be cut and quality brought in.

Next season will be much harder. Stronger PL teams coming down - Brum/Wrexham minted enough to challenge the parachute clubs. Sheff U being better.

Massive opportunity this season.

Massive opportunity this season.

Sheffield United will be 10th in October and sack Wilder again, I'm not worried about them. The teams coming down will depend on what business they do and who they keep.

Wolves might do a Leicester with their low morale. Burnley will go back up for the billionth time, the other one will be up there. But this is the reality we face, every season the three teams coming down will be better than the rest of the league in both quality and budget (not sure what happened to Leicester, suspect they've had some bad news behind closed doors) while the ones coming up will fight like hell to survive and scrap for everything like Oxford and Portsmouth do.

We're building a great squad, but the longer we aren't in the Premier League, the harder it is to hold onto these players.

Well, it wouldn't be Hull City if they don't feck it up..

If that upsets the 'it will be 3-0 easy game' brigade, who refer to the realists as 'the panty wetters' then so be it. Sadly, the realists amongst us might be proved right....I sincerely hope, I for one, am wrong...
Been watching City since the 80s and football in general.

Can see the signs/the patterns/the evidence - forms a logic many will see as pessimistic.

We can still do it, but I don't think we will - based on the middle sentence. Think the arse has fallen out of the manager.

The management team need to cop some serious flack for that and the last few dire performances. ****ing woeful. What was the plan today? Boom it to McBurnie to flick onto no ****er? Dross. Don't get me started on the subs. Serj has gotten away with murder in some games after getting a lucky result against the run of play. Now we're contenders, our arse has fallen out.

Just got home, very disappointing, I had a bad feeling ahead of the game seeing the midfield, or lack of it, and that just got worse with choice of subs. How Dowell & Koumas get in ahead of Joseph, I just don’t get it. If they’re the answer…….Once again, we go ahead with a good goal, but just can’t kick on or even hold on to the lead. The points lost from our winning positions in recent games are just not good enough. We’re just choking at the wrong time, coupled with injuries crippling us, who’d have thought we would miss Slater and his energy in midfield. He may not have a lot of end product, but he disrupts a lot of opposition play. Frustrating that Pandur wasn’t even troubled by Brum, pulled a couple of crosses out of the air, but they did take one opportunity given to them.

Sergei sounded in his post match RH interview, as we all feel, deflated. The news of Collyer’s injury, season over, unbelievable. Really feel for the lad, but been a poor value signing for us. I know it is still in our own hands, but momentum not with us at the mo, we need some energy & positivity, and quick, together with somebody to feed McBosh and get him firing again. UTT.

What is it with out 2nd half's lately? We barn storm the 1st half and then chill 2nd.

Are the half time talks "**** it lads we're ahead let's just chill second half and see what happens... <laugh>"

I know its still in our hands but for a few weeks now this didn't feel like a team going up. Still an amazing season but I think it'll be close but no cigar.

I'm hoping Serg doesn't get the old tin tack.

Once again relying on others because we aren’t good enough.
I thought McB didn’t get a lot of decisions when he was picked up, or thrown down, although I thought the ref was fair with the pushing over, I’m sick of seeing players flopping over for nothing, but today actually looked like it wasn’t as soft as normal.
Overall, another point, but I think this is our last week in the top 6 unless we get a result at Leicester. The way we’re playing doesn’t fill me with confidence.

I know you're an Amir fanboy but for me he is the problem. Slow and ponderous on the ball, goes missing and refuses to put his foot in.
Amir is definitely not the problem, however the midfield is an issue.

The best midfield we have is Amir as a progressive passer and a runner by the side of him. Crooks is not a runner and that is why there is an issue.

Statistically Amir is by far and out our best passer of the ball and needs to start. He can’t however keep starting with crooks.

Maybe its inexperience... maybe he'ajust drained in the schedule and the injuries he has had to endure and the embargo. But this has to be the time for Jakirovic to get into them and say its **** or bust... which do you want..?... I've been happy to offer plaudits to him, but for me, for weeks he and his 'assistant' have got it wrong.

Unless Gyabi or Matazo are fit to start ( unlikely ) Lundstram has to come back in Tuesday , which might be unpopular but don’t see other choice

I agree. We were very poor today. Lost just about every 50/50 tackle and our short passing was abysmal.

Has Dowell ever started a game. (I'm not suggesting he's the answer by the way) but if he's not in contention to start in our current position then what on earth did we sign him for?
