It's be like releasing an article about joffy saying "it's hoped he'll complete a permanent move for 500k in the summer". No **** everyone hopes that but why write it if there's no chance?
I think in theory he does, but we've been doing that the last few weeks and getting pulled all over the place on the break. I'm not sure I trust this team's off the ball organisation to play a high line like that.
Lundstram is good at dropping between the CBs and dictating play/ stopping a counter attack. Where is doesn’t work is when we play a 5 at the back and he wants to stand on top of the CB.

Yes, now it's just "City are hopeful". As above with slater, of course we're hopeful.. It's only a story if there's an actual chance. Guess we'll see.

Back home after three weeks away....Who is unfit for the final push or is it quicker to list the names of fit players?
Listened to the 1904 podcast last night and pretty sure he said Jacob Gyabi, and Giles in particular, are progressing really well and hoping they’ll be fit for Oxford but see how they progress over the break.
I had a look at the Mail site and the X feeds of HDM and Cooper searching on Gyabi, and the only stories about him and the others I could find said 'could' not 'would'. Perhaps you could post the link to the 'would' story, unless of course you made that up.
I suspect it's others also reading the "it's hopeful they'll be fit" as will be. People can laugh react all they want, but as soon as you pump out stories with that language people think it's a real possibility. It was hoped slater was a minor knock and would be fine, it was hoped Matazo was just a precaution, it was hoped crooks pulling out in the warm up was to be cautious. Of course that was the hope. Until there's more tangible facts don't put the words on the page and get people's hopes up.

Yu Hirakawa has not given up hope of playing again this season and could yet make a surprise return to Hull City before the end of the Championship campaign.
Boss Sergej Jakirovic had almost written off the Japan international's season after he picked up a serious ankle injury in the thumping win over Derby County last month.
Hirakawa was initially scheduled for surgery a week after the defeat of the Rams before he sought a second opinion on the existing issue he first sustained at the Olympic Games in Paris two years ago.
The exciting winger eventually opted against going under the knife, instead choosing a natural recovery in a bid to keep his hopes of being part of Japan's World Cup squad alive.
His determination to get fit quickly could be a benefit to the Tigers, with the 26-year-old hoping he could make a surprise return towards the end of next month, or beginning of May, when City play their final game of the regular season against Norwich City on May 2.
More likely would be a possible return for any play-off campaign that City may yet find themselves in.
The EFL have confirmed the dates for the play-off semi-finals, with the first legs taking place the following Friday and Saturday (May 8 & 9) after the regular campaign finishes, with second legs a few days later.
Meanwhile, City haven't yet given up hope that Eliot Matazo could make an appearance before the season ends. The Belgian midfielder had hoped to be potentially involved at the weekend, but he picked up a quad problem, which set back his progress.
City are keen for Matazo to get himself right for the start of pre-season, but he could yet get on the pitch in the final games of the Championship campaign, provided he can prove his fitness.
