Yes we will sell and buy in the summer.

In the last window I argued for 'fox-in-the- box' striker...imho we still need one.

Again imho, Bris favours playing two wingers, atm our present crop do not probably make the grade... there are a number of games left this season one or two could step up?... if not sell.

We are not creating enough goal scoring chances and converting enough of the few we make. Hume, when Bris was experimenting with him on midfield, had a couple of opportunities, but didn't take them i personally rate Hume highly as a crunch tackler and good at long/shory passing from fullback...leave him there.

Give Brobbety support in the box by playing either Mayenda/Isador with him. This should increase our conversion chances/goals rate. Then 4 midfielders, Fee as a '10' Xhaka as DM plus 2 others.
He's been mentioned in the Bournemouth match thread and we may already have a fox in the box at the club. Young Finn Geragusian in the academy is a very talented lad and has a great knack of scoring different sorts of goals. Excels in putting the loose ball away. Finn is raw but I'm sure they are trying to mix him in and around the first team to learn from them.

People are always gonna come for Roefs, lad is magnificent.

I’d want more than £50m he is absolutely elite and still improving. He’s young and he’s a very ‘modern day’ keeper who is solid at every aspect, and outstanding at many.

He’s on a long contract so if we can’t keep him we want to absolutely rinse any prospective buyer.

Allison went to Liverpool for more and only had 1 year in Europe. Kepa for more to, with it being a world cup year, the season ends barely a fortnight before the tournament and he's in a race with Verbruggen to be dutch number 1 at that tournament.

Personally think if Ederson 35m, kepa and allison 60+, all 8 years ago and all from outside the premier league, I think 50 is too cheap even on inflation.

Potentially whilst no release clause, theres number that have been floated around, as it was for jobe~?

theres no way we 'have to sell'.

Guaranteed on paper, touch wood, this seasons premier league money and next, with should the worst happen, parachute money the season after next. Basically 2/5 years of prem money.

home grown, brilliant, need to give him 'minutes' as they say

Playing devil's advocate, I can see the logic on why we need to sell maybe one player for good money in the summer.

When we sold Bellingham and Watson for £40 million, the talk was how it enabled us to spend up to £200 million* and not make a dent in PSR, as the fees are spread over 5 years. Continuing the argument, wouldn't we need to sell another £40 million of players this summer as well and then again in summer '27?

Again, it's mostly bollocks from Barnes though as this ignores all the extra TV money and increased commercial income.

* I think we spent around £160 million and a decent chunk of that will have been in add-ons. So we're looking at more like £30 million a year over 5 years

I’m expecting serious interest in Roefs and we’ll be doing very well to hang onto him. What a signing he’s been

I can see a lot of interest in Nordi and at his age he might fancy a club in Europe, we only paid about 10 mill for him and he has proven he can stay fit, well apart from now

Snap + at his age he's probably got 1 big move left in his career.

Another point on Barnes comments, selling post July would have absolutely nother to do with PSR or this season's spend as those would be listed against the new rules which will start from a neutral point.

Only sales pre end of july, be interesting to see if we target a few signings before this point to try take advantage of clubs who do need to balance their books.....would also confirm Barnes is totally wrong

I dont think Barnes is wrong, he's just stating the bleeding obvious and sensationalising it.
We all know that "the model" requires us to sell players, but the replacement should already be at the club. We are a little bit behind on this point as we dont have young defenders, midfielders or strikers ready to break through into the first team. To get to that stage will take time and I'm quite happy to let the club crack on.
It really feels like a classic case of "nothing to see here"

I don't see us wanting to sell anyone of great note, Sadiki has proven he needs another year here at least. Roefs is the one to look at given how good he is and can be. He has it all. But I wouldn't sell for less than 60 million.

Gotta be honest, whilst things are rough, I still think they best is yet to come and the proof is there with the likes of Sadiki, Diarra and Talbi etc. So young and their first season in England. Hope I ain't wrong, expecting a big 2027 from Noah Sadiki.

.I totally agree with you.

My mate was slagging our wingers off and comparing them to Wilson. He failed to realise the age difference and the years of experience Wilson has at this level.
