Just catching up on this thread! Someone actually suggesting Celtic or Rangers have a chance of getting Roefs! No chance are they affording the fee, the wages or looking attractive to the player over where he currently is! But apart from that I'm worried!

Wouldn’t be surprised if he stayed there for his full career. Still only 24 like

People are always gonna come for Roefs, lad is magnificent.
I’d want more than £50m he is absolutely elite and still improving. He’s young and he’s a very ‘modern day’ keeper who is solid at every aspect, and outstanding at many.
He’s on a long contract so if we can’t keep him we want to absolutely rinse any prospective buyer.
Chelsea were the ones I was worried about as their keepers are ****e. All the other 'top' teams have decent ones there.

We will sell to fund the next round of improvements. I would like to see another season out of the players mentioned, imo 2 seasons doing well in the premier league will be the peak of the profit.
I think the club will sell in the summer, Roefs and Sidiki I am resigned to going! I'd love the club to take the approach of all new players stay a minimum of 2 seasons so we get that time out of them and max the fees!
This not likely guess work from Barnes, yes there will likely be a sale or two but thats all clubs, insinuation from that is we 'have' to sell to sign further players.....yet football financial experts were saying just in January we still had enough room in PSR to make further signings which contradicts, some even said we could sign 5 £50m players & still be within the rules if spread over 5 year contract.
Agree with @young2077 another year out of some would see an added leap in profit, personally i think its possibly a case of the club assessing various aspects, eg - profit now, player celling (how much more if we keep longer), level of interest, players wish to stay/go

Yes we will sell and buy in the summer.
In the last window I argued for 'fox-in-the- box' striker...imho we still need one.
Again imho, Bris favours playing two wingers, atm our present crop do not probably make the grade... there are a number of games left this season one or two could step up?... if not sell.
We are not creating enough goal scoring chances and converting enough of the few we make. Hume, when Bris was experimenting with him on midfield, had a couple of opportunities, but didn't take them i personally rate Hume highly as a crunch tackler and good at long/shory passing from fullback...leave him there.
Give Brobbety support in the box by playing either Mayenda/Isador with him. This should increase our conversion chances/goals rate. Then 4 midfielders, Fee as a '10' Xhaka as DM plus 2 others.
That was what I didn't like from that video, Barnes is making out like we have to sell for the rules like we are in the **** rules wise! But we have been told all season by journalists, football finance people and even other clubs chairman that we are very healthy on that front and have plenty of room to spend if needed!
That's why for me this summer should be selling those who aren't regulars and aren't in the plans. Those players that are being looked at because they have had a great season should be staying for another seaosn at least. Unless they really push for a move, which is why Europe would be great next year.
