Choose from the following scenario's:

Scenario A
We go to Man City and put on a performance for the decades as we win 5-0, utterly destroy them for 90 minutes and receive national praise from the media.
We also lose 1-0 to Newcastle is a closely contested match, Mags get the bragging rights and enjoy rubbing it in on the radio, LALAS, Cheesy Chips etc

Scenario B
We lose 2-1 to Man City in a closely contested game, we defend bravely and miss out to a bit of magic that allows Haaland to nab a late winner, Sunderland receive generous national praise for a spirited performance.
We beat Newcastle 1-0 in a close game, we get the bragging rights this time, mind the gap, Mags lose it and demand that Eddy gets beheaded.

I personally would probably pop one of Sadiki or Xhaka on the bench for the City game, Xhaka being so important comes first. However, imagine the uproar it would cause.

I've had a trawl through the You Tube predictions ( yes i'm bored today) and the consensus seems to be we will get beat and one or two are going for a thumping... the odd one give us a sniff at draw..

Can't help thinking they all did the same against Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.. Lets see.. Ha'way the lads

Granit might need a rest. He was blowing out his arse against Fulham. This is a quick turnaround from Wednesday.

I don't see it happening, at all. It's basically saying "we don't think we're good enough for these so may as well rest our best players" - I just don't see RLB thinking like that, and I'd be disappointed if he did.

Xhaka and Sadiki are smart lads, they've both avoided a card for the last 3 league matches in a row. They know what they're doing.

I'd much rather have Xhaka and Sadiki playing, knowing that they might not necessarily dive into a risky 50/50, and if someone is through on goal they won't pull him back to "take one for the team", than to not have them playing at all.
Good post and fingers crossed, let’s hope it’s not a mag officiating today like our Div 3 days.

I can understand the general consensus being defeat but a thumping seems a bit mad when we haven’t been thumped by anyone. Only match I can say we were poor defensively and fortunate to not conced more was Fulham, they missed some good chances imo! Defend like that and we will get a thumping but its unlikely!

I’m also on this positivity train today. Think we get at least a draw and that Granit doesn’t get booked.

Sadiki is more worrying cos these games he runs around like a blue arses fly (which we love) but quick passing raises the risk of catching someone late.

2-2 today, Geertruida next to Granit for the win over Mags. Sound.
