We can’t sacrifice the City game to have Granit and Noah available for Mags.

In reality that’s just our own personal concerns and it wouldn’t be professional as a football club.

They should both play. We have enough to compete with the Mags even in a worst case scenario.
I disagree if Xhaka and Sadiki are unavailable. Our central midfield would be lifting

They are a good midfield 3 granted, but not the be all and end all of midfields
Wouldn’t fancy Rigg or Neil coming in to start, that’s for sure. Let’s see what happens tomorrow, I’m nervous about the card situation.

Entitled to your opinion but I really rate Geertruida, ELF has been superb recently.

I don’t see that as lifting at all. Diarra expected to be available too, although clearly won’t be fully fit.

They aren’t prime Barca. City is a much harder game.

Granit is smart enough to be clever tomorrow anyway, they’ve had 4 bookings in 14 they hardly walking yellows.

It's mad that this is the matchday thread yet half the comments are about the next game.
We are about to face one of the best teams in Europe and one of the best managers in the world and people are more worried about yellow cards???
Pep has proven himself time and time again in the best leagues in the world. He has taken great teams and made them better.
RLB is currently showing his mettle at Sunderland and his story is yet to unfold.
This match for me is the highlight of the season so far, it is the hardest of tests and a great measure of where we are as a club.
1 game can define our week be it this one or the next one, but neither of these games will define our season. Every game will do that and the team deserve our full backing game by game. RLB and the squad deserve our full trust and support as you all know, it has been hard earned.

I agree with your comments . I think he will start with the same team as Liverpool.

Fouls committed this season, hopefully won't be any cards dished out tomorrow

This fixture falls on the day of Le Bris's 50th birthday and it is fair to say their head coach wouldn't be short of people offering to buy him a drink if he headed into Sunderland to celebrate.
However, if they win their next fixture, which is arguably their biggest of the season as Newcastle come to town next Sunday, then he will never have to buy a drink ever again.
