I was living down Bev Road till recently and there was always a sign outside a shop down there saying 'breakfast in a cake' which me and my mates always found hysterical for some reason when we were hungover in the morning after heavy nights out, never got round to trying this but wonder if they still offer them, it was a sandwich shop near where the Mainbrace used to be

OLM do you have ridiculous mod style side burns? I make Amos from Emerdale look like a pansy. I can confirm they arent popular with the mrs.

Is that it, we never went in just saw the sign, think it was the idea of a cake full of bacon, eggs, fried bread and that lot. Should have given it a go!

I think you're most likely right OLM, i don't think fried bread in a cake would work too well!

Never had one from there, but when I use to spend a lot of time in Brid there was a greasy spoon that did breakfast in a bun - Bread bun the size of a dinner plate with bacon, sausage (sausage meat shaped to the size of the bun), eggs, black pudding, mushrooms, and beans. It was the business as long as you didnt think about how dirty the place was, sadly the cafe isnt there anymore
