Laaaaandan
But got to be a scotch egg for brekkie, especially warm with black pudding in the middle :1980_boogie_down: Much nicer than a grease-laden greggs sausage roll.

I think Hull has a long tradition in swinging both ways on this one...can anyone remember breakfast slices too? Now that was rank stuff...

I'm off to meet my psychiatrist now. Cheers.

Depends on my mood as i like both but if i had to choose one then would be scotch egg used to love the ones from skeltons from down loraine st they always tasted different at the others

Pizza rolls were the mutt's nuts <ok>

Of the two options offered, it all comes down to whether or not the sausage roll was warm or not. If it is, go for that. If not, the Scotch egg.

Scotch egg all the way.

If only because a chef at work told me the contents of a sausage roll...

[NSFW]Commo (cows lips), ligaments, tendons, fat, salt, entrails etc[/NSFW]

brilliantly labelled too

Judging by your user name I'm assuming you're London based? If so if you're ever in the vicinity of Old St you should pay a visit to the scotch egg man on Whitecross St - various flavours (black pudding, chorizo etc) and all with runny yolks. Amazing.

They sound absolutely vile.

They are.

But it seems that others are at it too, the Yanks also have them hot - In the United States, many "British-style" pubs and eateries serve fresh-made Scotch eggs. These are usually served hot, with dipping sauces such as ranch dressing, hot sauce, or hot mustard sauce.
