They were going by what is described as an army for rugby fans travelling. police intelligence in Hull is an oxymoron.
Many of those complaining about Wednesday away should have done something really daring, bought a ticket in advance. I did so when we played Man Utd in the league cup away in 1988, and watched lots still coming in half an hour after kick off. Lesson already knew, but reinforced.

If you look at the odds of the correct score for the first 3 games, the odds are 33/1, 18/1 and 100/1. This means that a £10 bet would give you about 650k. Come on, dare you miss out?

If it’s 3-5-2 (or 3-4-2-1 if we’re splitting hairs as Crooks and Gelhardt played as two number 10s off Joseph against Charlton) then I’d go with Coyle at right wingback if he’s healthy enough. Thought Drameh was an accident waiting to happen against Charlton. For some reason, he cannot head the ball or anticipate the flight of the ball in the air if his life depended on it.

I have to say that he became a very good striker in the second tier....
I think he got voted the worst ever forward to wear the barcodes in a Toon Fanzine....Still think they say 'do you recall the time we had Billy Whitehurst' not in a good way, when looking back at the thinner and thinner times they had in the 1990s or whenever he was there.

I'd be tempted to revert the formation back, move Joseph and Joffy to the wings and give Destan his first start. Crooks would play in behind. Tough call which CB drops out but if Ajayi is fit I would probably keep him in the team for his distribution (although it wasn't great against Charlton).

Joseph tends to come inside and lets Giles which has worked well this season.

Would limit our sub options for the second half however. If we're behind we would be relying on Ndala to come on and change the game from an attacking POV which feels like a lot given we haven't seen him since the early part of the season. We could then switch to the 5 at back if we need to sure up and see out the game.

Fully agree with all this. Only change Destan in for Egan and switch formation as you say.

I remember that. I think Billy Askew was also voted one of the worst midfielders.

Thinner and thinner times, absolute bollocks, compared to us they're Roscoe Arbuckle.

Was that the 5-0 game, maybe 6-0?

I don't remember that win :emoticon-0105-wink:.
Nowt worse than an away trip when you get hammered. I remember in my early years of regular away travel (the years of Richards and Eccleston at the back). I was in a freezing cold open stand at Barnsley watching us lose 5-0. Thinking things must get better, I was in a freezing open stand at Huddersfield a month later, watching us lose 5-0 :emoticon-0107-sweat
