He was always a class act; many moons age we followed him around Troon on one of the Open practice days.

Class act and no doubt echoed by many, unfortunately the minority spoil it for the majority, and now hearing about the abuse Rory's wife got outside the ropes with insults and beer being thrown at her disgusts me even more.

What a disgrace the American spectators were, they should be ashamed of themselves. I just hope the European crowds when it is over this side of the pond don't start such antics.

Great to see Europe winning and rubbing their nose in it.

P.S. On a personal note just checked with a local GC in Christchurch, and there is a nice parkland course which you can get a round, club hire, including trolley, balls and tees, for 50 NZ dollars about £25. Looks as if I might be coming out of retirement.

I do walk 6-8 kilometres daily, so I guess at least the walking will have a purpose.

Was there no golf in Vietnam? I thought it was getting quite popular there.

Yes,it's 6-8 km hitting the ball 'straight down the middle' John, add 2 or 3 more for erratic tee-offs:emoticon-0102-bigsm

P.S ....That's a good price for all inc:emoticon-0148-yes:(The last time I went to St Andrews driving range I never had my Clubs,£7 for a basket of balls and £4 each for 2 hire irons =£15)
