Everyone is worried about Russia and China, meanwhile Israel do whatever the f*ck they want with support from most of the major western world leaders.
Israel has said that the people they're targeting to kill 'have no hiding place anywhere in the world', it's like Russians on the streets of Salisbury. Trump has either not given the OK to strike in Qatar or he has ... ... both situations are equally as frightening and insane. Israel are totally out of control. Trump looks like a bumbling old man waking up, to a knock on the door, and struggling to put his teeth in. We're f*cked.
Just out luck, we are finally looking like doing something in the premier league, and the world will go to hell in a handcart and stop it.
Saudi's neighbours, who hosted the World Cup, are having missile strikes aimed at them by US allies ... ... you're right, this will have repercussions that will affect us all.
Netenyahu is seeing through what he promised after the attacks on innocent Israelis, if Hamas release the hostages this will stop. If they dont, goodbye the Gaza strip, he has said he will raze it and I believe he will if the hostages arent released. Not sure why people are surprised at his actions, he literally told the world what he was going to do. I dont think anymore hostages will be released, they are most probably dead by now, that will also trigger a response, either way its not looking good for Hamas.
He’s been consistent in what he said and then does so yes I do, I just don’t think there are any more hostages alive to release. I also believe America, UK, Qatar and others will have known what was going to happen before the strikes today. Do you think the hostages are still alive ?
Fair enough mate, if Qatar knew they were about to be bombed I'm just staggered, personally I think it's outrageous. IMO it's going to escalate rapidly now. I've no idea about the hostages, none of us do.
Not sure this is as big a deal as is being made out. Israel have attacked Hamas in a few countries in the last couple of years. They’ve not carpet bombed the place, it’s been a precision strike to take out the enemy leadership. Fair play to them.
Lots of lives already lost, a lot more to come I think. I agree this will escalate quickly unless 1 side backs down, can’t see that happening anytime soon.
Yeah not sure this will affect us in fact WW3 is never as close as the media make out like when America bombed the other month
In reality there's no such thing as a precision strike. "As the US scrambled to withdraw from Afghanistan in August 2021, its forces – employing the latest drone sensing and strike capability – attacked a car believed to be transporting enemy fighters. The strike was accurate – hitting the car and killing the people inside the car – but it was ineffective because it killed additional people in the area, including seven children." I wonder if people would've been happy with a 'precision strike' during the World Cup.
October 7th was a cowardly terrorist atrocity, but the way Israel have responded is horrific. I've said it on here before, I reckon in years to come people will look back and ask why the supposedly civilised nations stood back and allowed the war crimes against Palestinian civilians to continue.
It won’t affect us at all. The only one that had a slight chance of blowing up was when Israel handed Iran a long overdue slap but we quickly seen even they couldn’t do anything against Israel. I’d love to know how this is going to escalate, mind. It’s done and they’ll be no military response. No countries military in that region have the balls to even point a rifle in the direction of Israel.
I think we’ll look back and wonder why Palestine was flavour of the month when there’s worse atrocities that have been happening in other countries and they get little to no coverage.
There definitely is such a thing as a precision strike. We are actually in the process of developing a deep precision strike weapon right here in the UK. A precision weapon is used for a specific target that causes minimal damage. That’s reality.
Well I think that 65,000 killed by bombing (plus all the others under the rubble), 400 starved to death, 1,000 murdered while queuing up for food after Israel booted out the UN and set up its own "aid centres" where its soldiers could massacre at will is pretty bad. Mind you there are probably worse things going on like civil wars in Africa which i admit I know ****-all about.
I try not to get involved in speaking about this conflict, but here goes. First and foremost Hamas, the elected governing body of Palestine are, by any standard other than their own and their supporters, a terrorist organisation. They are funded by, amongst others, that bastion of human rights, The Islamic Republic of Iran. The land in dispute has been fought over for thousands of years, so no one can actually say with any real certainty who it should belong to. There are claims from both sides, lost in the past. October 2023 would have been planned by Hamas for quite a while. Hamas also knew that their actions on that date would draw the reaction that it did from Israel. In fact, they would have banked on it. They knew that Israel would commence a large scale attack. They also knew the reaction that would come from the west. Again, they would have banked on it. Hamas use the citizens of Gaza as human shields. Whether or not they are willing citizens is up for debate, but in my opinion only, they are. They are living in a disputed area and appeared to be happy doing so. There is a term, it’s Useful Idiots. Here’s the link. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Useful_idiot I’m not insulting anyones intelligence here but it’s basically a term used by leaders of a cause for people who follow it without actually understanding the consequences of following it. A good example would be the students of every Ivy League university deciding to wear kefirs and staging protests. They are about as far removed from the issues in the Middle East as they could be, but for them it was a case of Palestine good, Israel bad. Probably the silliest one though was Queers for Palestine. It should be interesting to note though why neighbouring countries to Palestine are not taking in refugees from there. It will be, in part, because they don’t want them. My mam knew a Lebanese Christian a few years back who moved to the UK. He said that he didn’t want to move as back in the day Lebanon was a beautiful place to live. Then the Palestinians started to move in and imposed their values. It became intolerable to live there. I also notice all the handwringing about the children dying in Gaza. Yes, it is a tragedy. I can’t deny that, yet where were the handwringers when Saudi Arabia started their killing of other muslims in Yemen? Where were their voices when Rwanda funded Congolese rebels and thousands upon thousands of civilians were killed? Likewise I’m not hearing any dissent of the civil war in Sudan where muslims are murdering muslims with impunity. War, no matter where it occurs, is a nasty business. We have, on the whole, had peace in the west since the end of WW2. We should be living in a peaceful world, but we don’t because there are leaders whose hateful and repressive ideologies are being welcomed by those same useful idiots who really, like me, don’t have a clue what is happening. Lastly, I’ll leave this here. Most of you will likely have seen it, but for those who haven’t it’s a bit of truth telling from the UAE foreign minister in 2017. https://youtube.com/shorts/pc61WgPEmpM?si=CCpSnFKb4Onrm3Jz So that’s my rant over. I don’t expect many will agree with me. I’m not a racist, I never have been. I don’t pretend to know what the solution is, but I honestly don’t think that enabling terrorists to do their job helps.
