As you know I was happy to go into bat for him and was convinced it was all being blown out of proportion. What I was told at the weekend, by somebody who was heavily involved, is that HT2 is absolutely correct, it is dire and we should be very worried about the future of the club. Sadly this is not going to end well. I guess as supporters we can only go along and enjoy the football but if I was a business I would not be supplying the club. I'm saying nothing more about it as I dont breach peoples confidence but if you want to take my word for it then things are very bad indeed. HT2 was not exagerating.

So we have just delayed the inevitable sale(s) of Pandur and or Hughes till January?

Probably, who knows. He is likely scratching around trying to find someone to help him get promotion and then take the money. If we are top 10 they will be kept to aid the promotion push. He seems to literally be putitng everything in for the £100m promotion money and then will bleed us dry.

I always felt he was pushing the boundaries but had good intentions. What I heard makes it very clear he is not a good person and has no interest in making this work. It is damage limitation now.

In terms of no interest in making it work, is the suggestion that if we got promoted, he would sell everything not nailed down and use the money to pay off the debt owned to Acun Medya?

Also, is the view that the local media (Baz etc.) are aware of the dire straits you speak about and are burying it, or are they not aware of it?

The fact he thinks he can ride it out is the most worrying part for me, we haven't spent money this summer but we've committed a lot in wages/bonuses. The hole he's put us into is just to big now imo, the only way he was going to get out of it was promotion, but by doing what he's done it's basically made it impossible to achieve.

Hopefully me, ST, M88 and what you've obviously been told is/are wrong, but I just don't see this ending well

The concerning thing to me is that I don’t think we’ve seen the worst of it yet.

Would you say Acun was going ‘all in’ or the more normal Hull phrase ‘**** or bust’?

I agree. Even when the issues came to light this summer, it was still said ‘he made mistakes but still has the best interests of the club at heart’ and ‘we won’t find a more passionate owner’. I think that’s all guff. He’s made mistakes AND he’s acting entirely in self-interest. He has, and will continue to, shaft club employees and other businesses.

The intention was always to flip us once we had Premier League money. He was daft enough to think it was a certainty within three years.

He’s been bankrolling the club with different lines of credit. He won’t let Acun Medya go bust so it will be the club if it comes to that.

That first window did make it look like he thought it would be simple: get some of the exciting Super Lig players he watched every week and it'll be all but guaranteed.

That is concerning though about flipping the club, I'm amazed he hasn't just given up on it rather than going again with big wages this summer, as surely we're just accruing more debt?

The fee restriction put paid to any promotion hopes for probably two years minimum, so where does he go next?

He’s delusional. A gambler who doesn’t know when to quit. City owes tens of millions to Acun Medya but Acun Medya also owes that money to various banks and lenders. He can’t just wash his hands with City and sell us for less than what he’s put in because Acun Medya will still be in debt.

He needs to sell City for something like £90 million (maybe more) so Acun Medya can pay off the loans.

My opinion is that is the only way he gets out of this with some of his money back. I dont believe he has any other move left and certainly doesnt want to create 'one family' really. Otherwise he would be paying small amounts of money to people he owes.

I guess that is the only play he has left? Nobody will pay anything like what he needs to come out of it with his money back.

The only way I can see a sale working now is if someone bought the club for something like £30 million upfront and agreed to pay the remaining debt to Acun Medya with 5% interest.

Or he agrees to become a minority stakeholder if his ego will let him.

No one has actually stated with any clarity what may have happened or what position we or Acun are in. Some vague statements which essentially say nothing more than "it isn't good", which surely we knew already, and suddenly everyone adopts the position that we're doomed. This board is incredibly reactive sometimes.

I will dm you mate. What I was told was disgusting.
He is like those people we all know living on a mountain of credit trying to pretend to be something special in financed cars, flashing their cash at the bar whilst the wife is at home trying to find ways to pay the milkman because he took the last of the money in the rainy day jar!
Ooh, please DM me too as a fellow batsman.
