I was talking to a Wolves supporter at work today. he reckons they were as good as down if they lost Larsen.
Not to pile on them at a bad time but Leeds do seem to have forgotten to make their big signings as far as I can tell.
Cracking window for us, some unreal signings and at unreal prices as well. A real nice pick of youth and experience, and I like the versatility that a lot of them have. Add to that the coaching staff additions, honestly think these are the biggest plus, we have given ourselves a great chance to stay up. I am a little worried about teh creativity in the team and feel we might be short in the wide areas but not sure any team will get everything they want in a window. Liverpool have spent a load but probably still short at the back. This window has gone better than any of us imagine, I was happy with Tommy Doyle as a back up CM - now our back up CMs are Rigg, Neil and Le Fee!! We've given ourselves a chance and that's all we could have asked for. I also feel we've left ourselves space to strengthen/spend money in January as well Now whose setting up the January transfer thread
Aye Leeds, Wolves and Burnley seem the obvious ones we can finish above. Wolves do have a good gaffer and a fair few talented players. West Ham & Brentford the others we can get at. We could reel more in yet, see how our lads develop, see how Europe effects Palace. Maybe Fulham could stagnate a bit but they’ve looked good what I’ve seen and I really rate Silva. We are in this.
Ridiculous that. Decent player that lad mind, one of Burnley's main men last season. Very bad decisions being taken there.
Aye, very good player. Definitely a place in the PL for him but nobody is giving him elite level player money.
Aye. More ****housery from Parish. They knew he would likely want to leave. Knew he wasn't going to sign. Guehi gave them this season when he could have Isaked them last summer Then they shaft him.
Looks likely that’s what he wants if he’s been asking for mad money here, probs saying ‘been offered this’ and then clubs have gone ‘we suggest you take it’.
They a good bunch in their forum been on few times. I think they are right to be concerned they look a long way off and they haven’t acted.
Just after the Sheffield game and we were promoted I feared we would be getting thumped every game and would definitely go back down. Now, after this window, I think we are much more likely to stay up, maybe even lower mid table. We have the players now so it’s up to the Manager, Coaches and back room staff to get the best out of them and improve all the things like dead ball, corners, throw ins etc. We will still get humped occasionally but we now have the squad to compete. Im looking forward to somebody putting the list up of players in and out, on loan, option to buy and fees so I know things like who’s coming back and suchlike. Roberts for example, is it a loan or a sale.
