A team can request this I think. But the PL would be likely to say, quite reasonably, that "you knew what you were doing" and refuse.
We just have to handle this.
Don't worry about AFCON, we will be top 6 by then.

Massive shout out to the entire set up at Sunderland. We've been nothing short of professional from the start of the window "til the end". Players like Xhaka signing early on proved we mean business and how to conduct it. Imo there have been zero panic buys and not one questionable fee paid. Its clear we had a plan and have one going forward. We tapped into the French leauge where it's just as physical as the Premier league and brought in players that will give as good as they get. The keeper looks a clear upgrade (no disrespect to Patto) between the sticks. The midfield is as good as any of the "lesser" teams in the leauge and at no point have I felt we're impostors in the leauge. Very early days but the running of the club is as every bit Premier league as the leauge it's self. HWTFL

Well thank feck and such a shame the window is shut, did not get all the usual suspects on throwing sh1t around which i missed as i love it when they get shot down and disappear till the next window.
top top marks to the owners, the staff, the recruitment teams around the club, some excellent work done to improve the squad without risking the wrath of the FA.
as with every window/season start i will give my usual 10 games afore i judge anyone but i am happy with all the incomers, won't suggest that we will 'walk to safety' but i feel we can do it, expecting the bad results that are bound to come along in this league and will enjoy the good results so 17th will do me...some good loans for some of our lads, good luck to all.
EDIT: totally forgot the new coaching staff that were also added, so far we can already see plenty of variation on the pitch, i honestly think i am going to enjoy this season.
