Seelt should not be loaned out thought him and Ballard were good.
No point keeping him if he's going to be 4th or 5th choice tho - will never reach his potential unless he is playing

Ballard and Alderete will be 1st choice for now, I still think we will bring in 1 more CB (possibly Lucumi) then you've got O9 - if that happened Seelt would be 5th choice

Wasn’t there some ‘Alderete isn’t much of a passer’ craic.

He pinged some gorgeous balls about, half fit.

Xhaka didn’t do much, but he did ****ing loads. He lifts us just by existing. He is an immaculate footballer. You can see why his career has been Arsenal and Bayer.

Everyone was class but I’ll say this and it’s not a dig at anyone.

I said all through pre season that Ballard was PL all day. He was ****ing brilliant top to bottom he was close to a 10 for me.
Exactly marra, how does the likes of xhaka and Rodri appear not to do much but are brilliant and essential cogs in a midfield
Full time whistle i can’t remember being so proud of our club, from the dark days of league one to competing in the premier league…..hoping it’s not a dream

Have to say all the new lads were exceptional, but I’m giving MOTM to Ballard.

Crucial goal line clearance first half and a great header to make it 2-0. Defensively solid all game. Superb.
This! Dan was immense today and what a performance from the whole team. The atmosphere was incredible today. The fans were loud and proud. Well done to all you lucky people that were in the stadium today making yourselves heard.

Agree very much on Xhaka. This is a ridiculously young team, especially in midfield and up front. Someone like Xhaka is utterly vital. I can't ever remember him being an athletic footballer really, not a man with pace to burn. But he is always where you need him, which is how I like to judge a midfielder, and his presence and leadership is more or less half of his value in his role here.
You don't need pace when you can read the game Bobby Moore was a great example

Omar was good, but in one of his interviews RLB mentioned some tweaks to deal with Paquieta better so tactical I think.

Not sure what exactly changed second half will look forward to the lad on twitter who does the videos (hopefully keeps them up in Prem). I thought we played more longer balls second half with the wingers higher up and had their defenders running towards their goal quite a few times but didn’t see that first half.

Aye I was thinking I'd love an alt-ending explanation but don't think he'll be allowed to post video now.

I agree. We definitely went more direct in the second half. RLB working his magic again.
