Looking forward to Monday night football hopefully analyse our performance a bit better than Rooney did
Haven’t really watched motd since we dropped out the prem, but my god it’s been horrendous imo. Analysis is garbage and with the highlights being available straight after the games, won’t be surprised to see it being binned off unfortunately. Shearer and Rooney are absolutely painful.

well if i ever needed a reminder of why i stopped watching MotD when we were last in the premier, this was it, made worse by 'drooney' waffling on and the obvious missing contribution from her anal.
(EDIT: i can remember her anal being very fair with us in the past, think he has always tried to be fair and yes i realise it is his job but tonight was painfully obvious he did not want to mention us at all.)

read through more of the thread and am surprised at some comments to be honest, xhaka had a good game imho...he was always there to keep the ball moving and was never going to be running around with the ball, using his experience to plug gaps/blocking runs etc, sadiki was pretty much the same except he did the running so pretty good combo.

seelt was having a really good game and i think he had grown into the game, fairly sure it was 'just' an impact injury cos he hit the ground with a hell of a thump...that said, alderete got his chance and after his first couple of touches i said to my son 'well he looks fine after his two touches so far' just before micky bridges saying almost the exact thing and all i really remember of the first goal is saying 'feck me, he's got an assist as well'

Pinched from OTR, Xhaka did a lot more than some people realised by the look of it

I agree with you re Seelt. The club clearly have a lot of beliefs in him. I agree with @Scout73 and by the way he knows more about football than I ever will that regular football is what he needs. I certainly wouldn't sell him as he has potential

Wasn’t there some ‘Alderete isn’t much of a passer’ craic.

He pinged some gorgeous balls about, half fit.

Xhaka didn’t do much, but he did ****ing loads. He lifts us just by existing. He is an immaculate footballer. You can see why his career has been Arsenal and Bayer.

Everyone was class but I’ll say this and it’s not a dig at anyone.

I said all through pre season that Ballard was PL all day. He was ****ing brilliant top to bottom he was close to a 10 for me.

Maybe he's not a good passer by South American or Spanish standards. :emoticon-0105-wink: If he performs for the rest of the season like he did in his cameo today, he'll be the talk of the Premier League.
