OK on Palmer's age, but still you've got 20 mins running Vs 180 in 4 days.

TBH I think if the back 4 isn't disrupted they probably see it out.

Like I alluded to before, the only way that change happens in a League game is through injury.

Just dont know why need to try and excuse hughes
He made a mistake

Thats it

Dont need to invent reasons for it

What's odder is that the egg chasers kick off at 5.30pm on Saturday, why not 3.00pm? And why not on Sunday?

How many times does it need repeating that the arrangement that was agreed when the KC Stadium opened was that at the end of the RL season FC games have precedence and at the end of the football season City do? SKY decided that FC play at 5.30 on the Saturday just as they decide which games we play at daft times. He who pays the piper and all that…

I'm not excusing him anymore than I would anyone else at that stage in the game and having been switched sides to accommodate a sub.

He does have a mistake in him and I'm usually being accused of being harsh on him by others.

Oh, and he's not worth 20m currently either.

There. Does that help?

Stuff like tonight might be a catalyst for the team
You can learn a lot when it goes wrong

No harm with criticism for any player, players will know themselves. The better players receive more praise yet will know when they’ve had a bad game/ made a mistake ect. The important part is accepting and then learning from it.

It doesn't go that wrong though did it?

We'd take a point there in the league and be happy with it.

Pens weren't even that bad even though we lost.

We conceded 2 goals in a minute

Next time we are 2 up in a game, we wont repeat the same mistakes again

Like giles overlapping on the halfway line when ndala lost the ball
Suddenly leaving 40 yards of freespace etc etc

Absolutely. No need for Giles to do that.

I wonder what the instruction was. Cos you'd think he'd be told not to. Like Kalman said, Famewo coming on at LB for Giles and giving us an extra aerial defender would've been the conventional sub but we didn't do that. So did SJ just not mind us taking the risk of continuing to attack? Sort of sounds like that from his interview, his only real complaint about the team was that we didn't carry on playing forwards and pushing for goal at 3-1.

Think itll really make us a stronger team going forward
As disappointing as losing like this is

And outside of that
So many positives with our passing and movement
The quality of chances created was amazing to watch. Another midfielder and a new winger for me

The starting lineup starkly showed the need for wingers. No natural wingers in the lineup, and Gelhardt again having to play there when SJ has openly said it isn't where he wants to play him.

We definitely should’ve scored further goals. Kamara fluffed one, Joseph was played through. Should never have got to the point. As Brady says though, way too many positives in that for me to focus on the lack of concentration probably due to complacency/ rotation
