I think so as well. In my opinion there might be a bit of a trade off, say SAFC pay for or sponsor something in return for getting the buffer, maybe pay for Millennium way to be redirected at the South Stand area. It would be lunacy for the council to spend as much as they have on the new footbridge and promote it for match days etc. only to suffocate the very things it's going to help the most.

I'll wait to see what the council have to say.

From the plans I've seen the housing is further in the development.

Good pal of mine has applied for the customer service & ticketing role that’s available at minute.

The lad is sharp hope he gets it he would massively help sort the last creases in the systems.

I think the issue is the block of land on Millennium Way facing the South Stand, where Kingston Windows and others used to be based. If that was left as the buffer, with the buffer starting from Stobart Street, I don't think there'd be a problem. It's the bit I've highlighted. Honestly, a bit of dialogue and common sense from both sides and I can see this being sorted out satisfactorily for all side.

It's probably just me but I thought it was funny when O'Nien and Sadiki get their photo taken with Xhaka and they then they walk away like little kids <laugh>

I'll see what comes of it.

I don't like it how the club are getting the fans to turn on the council who are trying to make some meaningful change.

I was told there was no promotion party because the council wouldn't cover the costs.

    Another partnership announced

Sunderland AFC is delighted to announce a new partnership with LiveScore Group ahead of the 2025-26 Premier League season.
As a Principal Partner, the global sports media and betting brand will have a significant presence on Wearside during the upcoming campaign, with fan experience at the heart of the agreement.
LiveScore Group will be celebrating the loyalty and championing the passion of the red and white army throughout the season, with a range of unique experiences and rewards planned.
As the Club’s Official Sleeve Partner, LiveScore Bet’s branding will also take pride of place on the iconic red and white stripes from this weekend when the Black Cats host West Ham United at the Stadium of Light.
In addition, LiveScore – Europe’s leading real-time live scores app – also becomes the Club’s Official Scores Partner and Official Training Wear Partner, with branding to feature on all first-team training and warm-up kit.

More cash raised for the club, I know people have issues with Gambling Firms, but they pay the most and we need the cash

That’s a nice clean one as well.

Having a score service on the sleeve is a lot nicer than a gambling firm or energy broker.

I’m aware their site links to gambling sites, but it’s a score service that makes money through ads, not a gambling firm.

Yes. A seperate part of the same parent company but not the one going on the sleeve.

If it’s that that goes on the sleeve my bad but I still ain’t offended by it if so.

Betting companies are the biggest hypocrites in modern business. " be gambling aware.org,set your limits....but here's a great bet that if you place on a goalscorer and he's subbed,we'll transfer the bet to the sub"......and etc.etc.etc. Cash out early,if you think you're winning!:emoticon-0102-bigsm
Tempt vulnerable, and some not so vulnerable, into placing bets....but tell them to be very careful if they do it too often,to comply with regulation. But tempt them anyway.
No one knows a poor betting company.....there isn't one....they always win.... it's a game where they set the rules.

I’m a couple grand up in SkyBet over last 12 months mind.

The issue, like you say is targeting desperately skint people into making bets with no legs.
