Do you mean 'he' has wasted under his ownership Ev.... I think this is something people forget, our club 'abso, bloody, lutely', but the money 'we' have 'earnt from the EFL has been used effectively. Its his money that has gone west. I do agree this might be a blessing in a horrible disguise however.
But this is the worst position we’ve been in since he took over? The debt has (in all likelihood) never been higher and we can’t sign players - we’ve just sacked a manager who has a track record in England and the division (even if people don’t think it’s good enough) for a foreign manager who doesn’t (although I admit he has a better record than Walter - it is still a risk) At what point does he seem to be learning? This summer is arguably more dramatic than the last.
I think Leicester have something to which they have to answer from season before last that saw them promoted. No doubt they'll get a 2 point deduction like Blades and be told to carry on as normal.
They havent been awarded any penalty yet as far as im aware. Their issue will be an exceeding of FFP which will have a different set of rules.
Exactly this. It's the Charley/Jeremy thing, at Didley Squat, that's missing. It's an embarrassing clusterfuck that needs mending. Bullshit won't baffle brains in this case - although we are talking of the EFL, so maybe...
Not sure this is the same link as already posted https://x.com/abcgazete/status/1941877663829774816?s=46 *sorry, it’s the same link but does mention about the ban. So can’t be last years safi deal
Maybe but the wording in that article is identical to the wording from the club’s announcement of our partnership with Safiport a year ago.
As I said not sure, but it would be no surprise if Ali Koc decided to help Acun out with a big sponsorship so he can show finance for the year ahead, especially if he thinks Acun helping him the last year at Fenerbache meant he took his eye off this club which helped towards the situation now, this could be possible, hence why Acun would be able to come out fighting , maybe Acun already knew about this at the Q&A.
Acun will probably use this opportunity to get 5 loans on board all guaranteed payments of 10 million per player in 2 years.
The only reason this Frigan deal is remotely like to happen under these conditions is because he’s close with Westerlo owner. No sane owner is going give us a 18 month loan for no fee
It's been renewed for a larger amount, presumably We're not talking billions or anything, but it's a way for foreign rich people to put money into the club without being direct investors. Like we did with McVities last season. Penny for Murat Ulker's thoughts right now, he saw the writing on the wall didn't he?
Apparently, the McVities sponsorship was just over a million. Still better than nothing but a drop in the ocean for most Championship clubs.
