What did he say exactly?
I thought he started life as 1st team defensive coach, then somebody posted he was the link between the U21's and the 1st team, which is maybe what they're calling him now. It's never been clear, to me at least, what he was meant to be doing. I wish him well but I do wonder...
Like the idea we now have a defensive coach and an attacking coach....
Staying up was the highlight for most and that in turn ensured it was a 'near' disaster as opposed to a complete one?To be fair, you say to me as a fan ‘what was good last season?’
I’d answer with the goalkeeper. That’s literally about it. Everything was fairly rubbish. Ok we have potentially some decent players but last season was a disaster!
Danny rohl has said he isn’t returning apparentlyDoes anyone see us trying to nab any Wednesday players if, as has been hinted at, they don’t get paid again & can then move for free after 14/15 days, after giving their intentions to the club that they want to leave?

I can't quote it exactly but he was asked what we needed to improve on from last season, he gave some examples which were interesting, and then he was asked what did you like about the team last season, what have you seen that you think is already good. For some reason he just carried on listing everything crap about us, and Acun even had to intervene to say "He asked what you liked" and he went "I know, I know" and just carried on. Then he eventually said that we were good in October and November without saying what was good. To me it seemed strange to omit that we actually had a decent second half of the season, conceding very few goals. Obviously there were still plenty of frustrations but to find nothing positive to say at all was just weird.
It would've been so easy, and factual, to say that we've been very tight at the back but not scored enough goals. We all want more goals and we'll want to open up a bit more in order to do that but hopefully without conceding too many more goals. Basically what Rosenior said two years ago when we were in a very similar position.
He had already spoke about us being tight at the back (but needed to learn more about when to drop back, when to move up, etc), and that we need more goals.
As for omitting to say we had a decent second half of the season ... well, we didn't! We had a reasonable mini-run, without ever following good results up, and we had a very small handful of stand out performances. Our form and performances after the break were poor, and, were it not for goal difference, we'd have ended up relegated. That really isn't a 'decent second half of the season'.
As he rightly says, time to look forward. Bar the emergence of Pandur, there was very little to like about last season.
The question was "what was good about ..... "....... It can't be classified as good or poor. .....
I am not sure about the knocking of Shelvey. He may not be blessed with pace but clearly has a footballing brain and a great range of passing. Not too dissimilar to Tom Huddlestone who on his day was a joy to watch. As much as he's a knob, Bannan would be a much better choice than Shelvey.

You said we didn't have a decent second half of the season though?
I agree, it wasn't particularly 'good' but it was certainly decent.
Home performances remained generally poor, though - and we stayed up by a gnat's knob
