Very small World. He has done a tremndous job with the Broncos Ladies. I went along to their first ever open trials day, more out of curiosity, and they were a mix of totally raw novices and a few ex Union girls who were decent enough but probably could not make it in Union. He has transformed them into a really good team, now playing in a much higher comp and probably the best run aspect of the whole London Rugby League set up. He did what he said he would and will leave a legacy with that team.

I've spent quite a bit of time in Glasgow and I can't say I was ever particularly concerned, other than in November 1999, the night before we played Scotland at Wembley. I'd gone with a customer to view a shop in Glasgow that he was thinking about taking and to have a night out, but we'd not really thought about the game being the next day.

The entire city centre was full of blokes in kilts and ginger wigs, lots of chanting about killing the English, we ended up walking from bar to bar pretending we were Dutch, 'Ello, hev you any Grolsch?'

Although seeing as you wanted lager rather than eggs it may not have worked.

    Talking of which.

I passed Dees of Trongate Yeserday, had a look in the window, usual fare, wasn't really buying to be fair but I did see some loafers(I'm gonna need a pair for this winter as these Ikon efforts are like skates).Delicious Junction? Is that part of your business.

He actually had some DM ones that were cheaper than the DM shop by some distance but they were a bit bulky in the sole department.

I think that Dees is gonna have to move at some point(it's been there since I was a 14 year old skinhead and probably beyond) but there's a lot of new accommodation(student digs etc),even butt jointed to his building and it must only be a matter of time before they want to push along a bit?

    True
However the power that the Police have over individuals means that bad ones can do much more harm than in many other jobs, which is why their professional standards are so important

I’ve never felt on edge in a Glasgow boozer and I’ve been a few times.

It’s quite an aggressive sounding accent, but I’ve never had any problems

I was at that game. I have never heard noise like it. We just had to guess when the national anthem was being played as couldn't hear yourself think with all the booing and whistling. Me and my mates were unusually sensible that trip and decided a couple of days in Edinburgh was a better idea than Glasgow.

I loathe littering, how easy is it NOT to litter? Just find a bin for your rubbish or failing that take the bastard home - I blame it on parenting, my parents taught me and my brothers not to litter, I taught my kids and I've seen that my kids have taught theirs. Littering and good manners are easy fixes, rant over!

I say 'rant over' - wtf does 'living your best life' mean? I loathe that bastard as well - rant over (I think).
